Have you adjusted the tappets before this?If the tappets are tight, the top end reduces.Check out the top end now and revert back.
Motul oil of what grade? And please stick to the Bosch twin electrode spark plug for peace of mind.
    Wish you the same Drifty!

No i havent tried anything on the engine yet apart from chain lub and oil change I wont be doing the tappets on my own. I need to find a good mech for that! Yeah my Sev Engg did tell me that the tappets were a bit tighter. I need to go test the top end and will report back

    Thanks all for the response.

Yes, I have checked and rechecked the top speed in various different roads. I've tried the full crouch too and nothing changed!

The Svc Engg that I deal with is very keen on resolving my issues and he doesnt even charge me for the regular visits I pay to the Svc center! Yeah I do have Drifty's DIY saved but scared to try it on my own I now need to find a good mech near my place. If the valve clearance is fine, i guess the only part at fault will be the plates!
Welcum, if the above mention stuff is good, then the only culprit can be valve clearence and clutch plates. check on this. Use drifty's D.I.Y as a reference for the mechanic. Btw get ur compression checked from the svc in PSI and post it here to check whether it is normal or not. And please stick to stock plugs, i have tested both NGK and Bosch Iridium, it increases throttle response by max 0.2-0.4 % and i find it useless for the extra money paid.

Okay will do that! Now how did you measure the 0.4% throttle response increase ???

now thats an approximate value and was just used to show that the increase is not significant and u will not be able to feel any kind of extra sure by shelling 550 bucks from ur pocket.

Choke cable assembly was broken, now replaced. Took some time for the SVC guy's to do the job. Now, the lever action is very smooth too (it was pretty hard to operate before it finally broke).

AFAIK changing rear tyre of different profile than the stock will alter gearing, its same like changing sprockets. Thus speed will vary for the rpm because of altered gearing.

yes, ur speedo and my speedo readings show that my speedo has less error.

For the tyre thing. A shorter tyre profile on the rear, makes the bike a bit raised at the front and the gearings gets affected by a short margin, so the speedo errors get a bit less. And on the contrary is u use a shorter profile tyre on the front, the speedo error will increase. Refer to sprockets universal thread for more details

Guess you missed a post from me a few weeks back. I had this issue for a long long long time and no one knew why.. finally while replacing the rear side panels, I myself found it, and replaced...

It was a small metal part (kinda holder or something) and costed you 24 INR, eh?

yeah... and I had to find it our myself... since I think 3rd service or something I had this issue and been telling those fools at SVC, they say all RTRs are like this...as usual...
This metal part takes a lot of stress I think and could break easily if not good quality. I think I found a small difference in thickness of the broken one and the new one I got as replacement, new one being thicker... maybe just my feeling as I had nothing to measure it and all...
Anyway, this is one thing to check out for if you have some strange noise from the rear and/or if your rear fender is vibrating like crazy...

Ok thanks guys,so its in the range of 50-100 bucks.

EDIT:The Suzuki GS150R air filter is a direct fit in our air filter box, tried it yesterday, the mounting bolts matches perfectly,no modification needed.Just you need to remove the top cap so that the side panel fits properly. Its a viscous paper type air filter and will need replacement every 10-12k kms according to GS150R manual.Cost around 200 bucks.
BTW,most important thing, the throttle response is much much crispier with this filter!!!
