Re: Hero Moto Splendor/Joy/CD-Dawn/Passion
Zorrik is equally good, I am using the same.Originally posted by jeswin View PostI was searching in some shops to buy a WD 40 spray can. But I was able to buy only a "ZORRIK 88" can of 32 grams. I want to remove a rusted screw behind the visor which has a slightly worn surface since incorrect screw driver was used earlier. Can this ZORRIK be used instead if WD 40? It costed Rs. 60/-
Slightly tap the screw then unscrew by putting some pressure. It will come off easily.

Re: Hero Moto Splendor/Joy/CD-Dawn/Passion
I sprayed some on the screw and left it for 2 hours. Then, tried with a screw driver unscrewing it, but I was unsuccessful. It was way too tight. Then I went to a mechanic to get it removed. He was able to remove the other 3 screws easily bot not this one. He suggested me to visit a lathe nearby. That lathe guy used a T handle screw driver, placed it on the screw and tapped with hammer a little hard. After that, he unscrewed it easily. Anyway, the screw was removed and I am relieved now.Originally posted by srikany View PostA friend of mine said, its not bad when compared to wd40 but stinks real bad. Keep us posted on how effective it is.

I have a similar, albeit a bigger one. I have a stubborn Rear Wheel Drum Nut that is refusing to budge even when WD40 was used many times. I tried using Kerosene + coconut oil concoction as well, but could not find any respite. I will have to get some help from workshop that has power tools. Let's see.Originally posted by jeswin View PostI sprayed some on the screw and left it for 2 hours. Then, tried with a screw driver unscrewing it, but I was unsuccessful. It was way too tight. Re: Hero Moto Splendor/Joy/CD-Dawn/Passion
Hello everyone.. rookie here. I had changed my Passion Pro's bore to Usha bore kit with 0.25 rings at odo reading of 35000 km. have done about 1000 kms on the new kit. But now it strains to pull with load, and is also difficult to start. Checked air filter, spark plug, chain and carb. all these were in good health. Checked for gasket leaks, but they were ok too. So I suspect compression is leaking because of tight valves cause the mechanic adjusted them without any feeler gauge. All these idiot mechanics say that its the same engine as Splendor, so its ok to not use feeler gauge. but I checked that Splendor has 0.05mm clearance on both valves, whereas Passion Pro has 0.10 mm clearance on both inlet & exhaust valves. @sibun , i remember that you told someone in the Extreme thread that a little less clearance than what is specified in the manual is needed to balance the play that the rockers would have as they get old. So how much clearance should my bike have considering its age? And is it ok to adjust tappets by guesswork as the mechanics do, or should i insist on using the feeler gauge? Please help...

Re: Hero Moto Splendor/Joy/CD-Dawn/Passion
I suggest you to go to a lathe or a re-boring guy. The way he tapped with hammer on my bike was a kind of different even though he hit it hard. Had I did that, I would've definitely broken the visor. Good luck, and keep us updated.Originally posted by srikany View PostI have a similar, albeit a bigger one.
