Okay , despite my apprehension , my bike's rear brake & shoes are working fine - just the pedal depress distance is grown a bit . Shall change next I get to open the rear wheel , too lazy to open it up again now .

Very unlikely , with new shoes the space between the shoe and drum is just a few millimeters . So almost impossible to put in larger shoes I think .

Part number is 17213-KWA-940 Element Air/C . It is the same part as used in Splendor-Pro and Splendor iSmart . Be sure that they don't slip you Glamour's part which looks the same but is different part number .

Bangalore Xbhpians need your help for tyres.

Where do I get 2.5*18 tyre for the front of CD100? Every shop has 2.75 only. It is a little urgent as it is the daily commute bike for my friend.

I had put 2.75 in my CD100SS, but it causes loss in acceleration and also wobbles.



The front tyre is the stock which came with the bike. Survived for 95k. It's in a very bad condition.

Edit - Forgot to mention the incident which occurred today. Friend gave his CD100 Deluxe to HH SVC for changing gaskets, seals and O-rings as oil was leaking from everywhere.

After collecting the bike, he rode alongside me for around 3-4kms when suddenly without warning the drain bolt fell off. Pushed it to Hero, and after inspection service manager discovered that the threads of the drain hole were gone, hence it was leaking from a long time, and today the drain bolt suddenly fell off. Temporarily applied mseal as friend needed the bike. Tomorrow will give for lathe work.

I was pleasantly surprised at the service quality, except the drain bolt hole which was somehow missed. First time seeing ASC mechanic using feeler gauge for tappet adjustment.

Look for your nearest MRF dealer for Nylogrip RIB or NyloRIB 18x2.5 . Check MRF website if any authorised dealer is near you http://www.mrftyres.com/index#toBuy. My Splendor+ is running same 18x2.5 MRF NyloRIB in front . Also buy the 18x2.5 MRF tube at same time , don't use the common 18x2.75 tube for it .

I visited MRF showroom for a small issue with the front tyre of my Uni160. Enquired about 2.5*18 tyre. The reply - "Saar production of 2.5*18 is stopped, if you search also you'll get old stock".

I went around and asked other shops, none of them had 2.5*18. All said that production has stopped[emoji36]. Tried other brands too, found TVS eventually, but it's old stock (2014 make) so decided not to buy.

My friend already had a scary incident when his equally old rear tyre burst. Luckily he was stuck in traffic[emoji13].

Yes , it is little difficult to find , but production is certainly not stopped . It is listed size on MRF products list . Before going to shop , check with mrf website link I gave to ensure they are really authorised mrf dealer . Many tyre shops look like authorised dealer , but are not - same kissa here also , I finally found it only at mrf dealer . I need a help

On my bike there is a small tick noise after 1-2 minute warm up.When i apply small throttle it can be hear continuously.

The tappets are adjusted correctly using feelargauge. Timing chain is also replaced.
what are the other possibilities?

This is splendor bike spark plug.it gives mikeage of 60kmpl @60kmph speed,single rider. 80%highway and rest in the city.

This amount of rust particles is too much - carb shall clog up soon , only solution to rusty tank is replacement .[/QUOTE]

I bought a tank from Kalyan hero asc thrissur...it has some marks on it's one side...and some air at stickers too...inside there is some markings..is really the tank is new..?? Do I need to replace it agaun
