Anyone here knows the Part Number of Hero OE NGK CR6HSA? Asking because I read that production of CR7HSA has been stopped and Hero is now giving CR6HSA as OE. The NGK part finder says the same. Its now recommending CR6HSA for all Hero 97.2cc bikes.

Edit- CR7HSA is still recommended for several bikes on ngk part finder. Its just that Hero I think has shifted to a hotter plug.

Yes hero is now giving one number hotter plug as oe in several models. New xtreme sports also have a hotter plug than the old NGK cpr8ea9. You can get alternative plugs from champion\bosch from the dealers. Just check this as a reference

Hi All! After getting fed up of these cold starts issues I had a conversation with Pinaki da and he told me to check the resistance of both plug cap and spark plug since AFR was also good so only possibility was that plug cap is faulty. So today I checked the resistance of both. Spark Plug: Champion PRZ7HC (Hero OE packing not federal mogul. 1.5k kms old approx) Plug cap: Hero OE Red One. Resistance checked in morning. ~Room Temperature.

Spark Plug: 9.9kΩ
Plug Cap: 5.23kΩ

I believe that this is more than normal. I read in this thread only that Champions were giving different resistances reading to everyone. And resistances increasing abnormally on champion plugs. And OE plug cap resistance measuring 4-4.5kΩ. So now I am thinking to replace spark plug to NGK CR6HSA and plug cap to OE or to that of Pulsar's that come with 1k resistor. Need opinions on this problem and what could be the solution to this.

Thanks.

hmm , although the spark-plug should be a little lower ( ngk says they use a 5kΩ resistor inside their's R plugs ) , I feel both these readings are within the margin that can be considered "good enough" . i.e not enough resistance here to impede spark-strength and ignition . Everyone please tell what you think .

I've been using Pulsar spark plug cap & Mico U4A spark plug and this combination has been giving good results to me.

Bosch U4A is a colder plug so it wont be good for me as my riding mainly consists of short runs. Thats why I am thinking of NGK CR6HSA. Though some more detailed inputs from you will definitely help me.

Jith_in: Bro thanks for cross reference chart. The problem here is that I dont want to buy from outside dealers because of fake spares. Thats why I require Part Number of Hero OE NGK CR6HSA.

It seems like some asc follow 'one size fits all' funda and fit the same heat range plug in every bike inspite of the different heat range specified. Here ASC stocks only Champion plugs.

Unable to find the part no. I already asked the part no. from Hero via e-mail and they told that part number is 9805656707M0S (recommended spark plug for pleasure scooter). Placed an order for it as it was not available.

Plug cap showed an acceptable resistance reading but I will replace it (just for the peace of mind) to OE Cap.
