Ok 15k was very high.Hero or Hero Honda 100 Cc are very common and you will find lot of Mech`s building them at very reasonable price doing a very good job.Even the ASC charge you way less than that and you are eligible for 6month warranty I suppose

        Hi Everyone,

Can anyone please take a look at this post - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...ml#post1259353

Please give some pointers to rectify the rust issues.

It seems that Honda Shine thread is inactive and is not as active as this one.

        Thanks.

          Hello friends,
Can I use this method to tighten my Passion Pro's chain: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3TCTXMC7Nq8

Or are there some other things to do?

You don't need vernier calliper or measuring tape to adjust chain slack.
            Tools required are
            10,12 spanner for adjusting nuts
23 ring spanner for half axle nut
17,19 ring spanner for axle bolt.
Place the bike on central stand then loosen the half axle nut then loosen the axle bolt and the adjusting nuts. Now adjust chain slack using the adjusting nuts on the chain side swingarm such that there is 1-1.5" slack on the tightest point of chain. When ur done then hold the chain downward and tighten the half axle bolt. Then rotate the wheel and plonk the rear brake do this 2-3 times and with pressing the brake lever tighten the axle bolt. Doing this will automatically center the rear wheel. Now tighten the right side adjusting nut firmly to its place and ur done

Thanks for the detailed procedure. One thing I have not understood is 'half axle nut'. I know there is one axle bolt on silencer side which is 19mm. Another bolt on the opposite side which is 17mm. Is the 17mm bolt half axle nut?

On the 17 mm bolt side you can see a large nut of 23 tightened towards the swingarm thats the half axle nut. Only loosening that will allow you to move the wheel backward.

One difference I have seen between old and new that new model does not have SAI tube to the engine. Does SAI affects the engine in any way? Please tell.
Guys anyone has an idea on this? Why the new models are not coming with SAI tube. Passion Pro and Splendor+ used to come with SAI tube but now they are not coming with SAI.

SAI feeds fresh air from air filter to engine to reduce CO to CO2 thus reducing the emissions. But if SAI is removed then bike would pollute more than before isnt it?

Bro, I think that they have changed some internal design, adopted lean burn technique & also increased the compression ratio. Maybe this changes doesn't necessitate the fitting of SAI tube. Just guessing. I'm not sure.

Hello friends. I have a little query. What will happen if I run my bike with TPS wires disconnected? As you know that Passion Pro's carb comes with a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). It alters ignition timing as per the throttle position. Many bikes from Hero come without a TPS (dawn, joy, splendor) and they run fine. Please anyone brief me about the advantages and disadvantages of a TPS.
