Passion Pro , 40531KTE912 is JOINT, RJ DRIVE CHAIN . i.e the master link for the drive chain - the link you can remove by undoing the clip and then unmount the chain .

A small query ,

Can i use the clutch housing of passion pro on passion plus?
i feel only a small difference on aluminium basket.

Don't . I found it from a few wasted parts I have . There are small differences between model variations and although they may fit , they cause you trouble later . Otherwise why company went to all the trouble of keeping inventory of an array of very similar but different numbered parts . From hard exp , now I always insist on getting the exact match of the part number from my parts-catalog which I keep as a pdf file and I never go to the shop without referring this file first .

Hello everyone, need your advice for spark plug cap for passion pro 2010 model. It has black colored cap. But now Hero bikes come with red colored cap, so which one to buy,, black one or red one ? Cost ?
Also [MENTION=71580]dumb0[/MENTION] , how did you set up pulsar's plug cap, its looks longer. Any problems or is it a direct fit ? Cost? Can you share some pics of your setup..

Guys what would be the mileage of hero splendor plus 2016 model. I have buy it only for it's engine durability. I am getting mileage around 55-60kmpl.which is very less.

Red cap for DC ignition bikes, Black for conventional AC ignition bikes - this is my understanding.
I prefer using the black colored one for your bike if it is not difficult to source (and I don't think sourcing parts of Hero's popular 100cc bikes is an issue in Kerala) - piece of mind.

Very correct , although I know both works , I too don't like mixmatching parts .

On the topic , we are having somewhat of a "parts situation" here in Kolkata . Yesterday also ( my 3rd visit over two months for the same parts ) I came back empty handed from the Hero parts distributor shop ( Bansal Motors ) here . Was in need of 4 parts each of which I had the exact part number with me - they couldn't even provide the correct speedometer cable for my Splendor+ . Not even the speedo cable inner rope . And this is the Hero headquarter for entire eastern region and they have big offices here ! Terribly disappointed

Does Splendor/Passion plug caps (both red and black) have resistor in them?

Coming to speedo cable, does Splendor and Splendor+ have different cables?

Between, things are a little better here in South with regard to parts availability, I believe.

Black has resistance , have measured . Can't say about the red cap , never had opportunity to measure it's resistance , but saw acquaintances here using it on their old AC ignition bikes since black cap wasn't available when they changed - with no problems .
Yes , Splendor speedo cable is fixed with a screw on the wheel end , My Splendor+ has push-in clip lock there . I have used one HF-Dawn's cable too , it worked okay but life was less than half . Then this same Bansal-Motors slipped me a galmour speedo cable as it looks quite similar and I wasn't having the part number with me that day . I did ask for Splendor+ cable specifically though . The casing is exact same , but inner rope is different at the ends - made kirrr kirr noise , took it out it at once . They won't take returns since cable package has been opened . I could use the casing if an the inner rope was available - it was but seems no longer now . I bought the correct cable set and now it's running perfect . So after all this I thought I should keep a spare of the correct part - went back - out-of-stock since 2 months now !

Yes red one has 4~5 kohms resistor.

Guys is this is the optimum setting. I am getting mileage of 55kmpl under speed 55kmph.

Hello All members. Few days before I posted that I was facing cold stars/misfiring issues while the AFR was ideal. So problem was in plug cap (corrosion due to water getting inside it). I got very informative inputs from both [MENTION=29030]Pinaki[/MENTION] sir and [MENTION=32286]psr[/MENTION] sir. At first I decided to go for aftermarket non resistor plug cap as suggested by [MENTION=32286]psr[/MENTION] sir. I bought one for Rs.20 from local shop but it was of very poor quality. The ignition wire did not fit properly in it. So dropped the idea of using aftermarket plug cap. Yesterday got some free time so I went to Hero ASC and bought Plug cap and spark plug (Champion plug, ASC did not have stocks for NGK plug) I bought spark plug just for a precautionary measure though I was sure that problem is because of cap.



New cap is of "KUNAL" make. And has 4.8kohms resistor. The plug cap that came from factory is of "ANU" make. Yesterday I installed new plug cap and also did a jugaad with electrical tape to prevent it from any water corrosion in future.

Today when I started bike after 5 hours of standing idle it did not misfire even a bit. Previously it used to misfire after 2-3 hours. So finally problem is solved. Throttle response and pickup are also better now. Thanks all the members for helping me

I feel afr is average good condition.
Also have a small doubt, it is a bit lean.

Hi all,
I need to get my cd100's magnet(rotor) and coil plate(stator) removed from bike. Can anyone explain with steps. I tried doing it yesterday and found out that since it's a moncoque frame, the wiring is inside and not so accessible, and I was able to pull out only the magnet. The stator plate, however has additional mount rivets on case which I could not figure out. I need to give the magnet for recharging and get the starter coil rewound. Thanks in advance.
