    Friends,
My bike is start smoking for few days . Before 2000 km the head and bore is opened again (not piston removed) due to broken the cylinder stud while removing the stud nut.At that time there is no signs of oil consumption. But same problem a mixture in spark plug is there. After this work i have some cold start issues . That is due to an air leak between engine and inlet pipe.To identify this ,I takes takes a long time.
For some days spark plug washers mixture amount increases .First i feel it is petrol, because it smell like petrol. When i ask sibun sir he said petrol may be due to local running.so with in a month, i do several times tuning . But no solution. One week ago bike ran almost 450 kms in 4 days ,for some needs. At that time i found oil level is reduced. After heating in higher rpm the bike start to smoking. Also exhaust tip has oily carbon. So conformed the bike consumes oil.
After all this On 28th february i get cash from father and I again opened the engine completely. Opening an engine completely is first for me .Before opening the engine i watch an overhaul of splendor + from mech' shop. After it I contact sibun sir ,he said try to get usha bore kit.He also give instructions before, to inspect the parts. Next day I inspect all parts and purchase the parts. The crank also is repair from laith.Next day I wash all parts and start to assembling. On march 4th i completed the assembling and started. After starting leave the bike for idle as sibun sir method.
Thanks sibun sir and thanks all.
    Purchased Parts
    1.cylinder kit(usha) - 1400(100 discount coupen)
    2.packing kit -217

    10.anabond -40
    11.engine oil 10 30 -280
    crank repair - 1200
    total cost is 4145.
clutch , timing chainkit and valves are new and they are not worn so i not changed them.3rd and 4th gear some times makes noise with a vibration on foot peg ,first i think it is because of worn chain but after replacing chain kit ,the vibration still there.when inspect the gears on sun light ,light scratch marks on gears.

Thats all u need. There is no technical. You just need to drill it and screw. Both are very cheap and easily available.
Dont think like u cant do, just do it even if u are going to buy a new one. Coz once u do it now, it'll help u later to do it again.

Just drill it first with a thinner drill and try screwing it, if u feel it is going very tight and u cannot tighten completely. Take a another drill to make the hole slightly loose. And if u, by mistake made it excess loose, if screw slips, then change the screw to more thicker thats all. No problem!

and if u think if screw thread will gone damage. Let me tell u it will not, ever, because those screws doesn't need thread to tighten. It makes their path inside their own. Do it man! I want u to do.

Yes it can be use, but according to me there is no use replacing those. Because how long the neutral bulb will glow? It will off once u shift a gear. And how long those flash indicators bulbs glow? Just for a few seconds when u turn... saving energy for just a few seconds is not going to make any sense according to me (pls dont take in as a offense) that was just an my opinion. Yes using it in a odo meter or fuel meter (which is going to glow continuously) is a good way.
Like i've done it. 11 1/2 watt leds on a odo meter make it looks awesome.

I changed high beam indicator to led, without buying that 12v type of led (u can see its small type one) and that glows with headlight ac to dc conversion. Rest with battery. No changes were made to the stock wiring, no wire cut, no damage.

            DIY will come soon

Hi paul, I've stumbled onto this thread just recently. I'm a complete newbie to this forum. Please guide me whether how you did this LED conversion. I would love to see your DIY post on this. If you have already posted it somewhere please give me the link.
            Thanks in advance...

Please suggest me ways to open screws frozen on rotor/ centrifugal filter, whose + threads have lost grip for Screwdriver.

I have tapped them with no success on two out of four of them.

I am thinking of cutting minus (-) thread on them with a thin saw blade, but the aluminium attachment would get destroyed, not available in spare shops in Patna.

please tell if 2.50-18 MRF nylorib still available in Kolkata, here it's not.

                dumb0 ji ,

1.If the screw (+) fully damaged try this, Take an old (-) screw driver or iron chisel ,then using hammer ,tap in the side face of screw in screw opening direction. It should loose I am sure. Then replace screw.Donot use the same screw it will become like this. You can see the sides of it .

2.if it not fully damaged just insert (+) screw driver and using hammer just tap rotate in opening direction. Also replace the screw.Or use screwdriver bit suitable for T spanner.

To avoid this situation , i am using the screw driver bits that suite for 8mm t spanner.Click image for larger version

it is a set with that include one(-) bit,and two(+) bit.In this two (+) one helps to open small (+) screws such as rotter screw, other body screws and other one helps to open large (+) such as stater plate screws, oil pump screw ,etc.its only cost below 150.It helps a lot in working on bikes and other general purposes .while using it in engine screws ,just insert the suitable bit and tap on it, then insert t spanner above it, then rotate to opening direction with pressure. This engine screw heads are soft so, while you taping with the bit ,the bit will perfectly hold on screw and easy to remove. The t spanner help to apply more pressure than ordinary screw driver.

Other way is use impact driver . But It is a costly tool.

A 10 watt led will be more powerful than a 35W halogen headlight bulb!
What you would need is a 0.5, 1 or max 2 watt led for the indicators. I use a 1w (t10 type) led replacement in place of the 5w pilot lamp on my duke and it has no blue tint.
Check what type of connector the stock bulb has and look for similar one in LED. You can check out ebay, there is this seller named "bull leds" who sells led replacements for the bullet and various other sellers who sell led bulbs.
Another source would be aliexpress (shipment takes very long to arrive).
If you can't source bulbs, then you might have to buy the entire indicator assembly. And mind you, you might need to add a load resistor or a led blinker relay for them to function properly.

You'll have to buy an impact-driver tool . It usually gets the job done . If you take the bike to Hero service , cost will be less , because they have impact drivers driven by compressed air ( like their other tools ) . Also they have more experience with this particular screw .
Final solution if all else fails is to drill out the screw , first with a thin drill-bit , then progressively . But very very carefully because if you break a drill bit in there , it'll be impossible to drill it out .
Head stripping will occur if you have tried to open with wrong size Phillips driver , it will cam-out and damage the screw head ( and possibly the driver also ) . As far as I can remember those rotor-filter cover screws are #3 phillips and not the more common #2 size . When you seat a screwdriver head on a screw , it should fit snug and not have wiggle space .

Not sure now , I bought mine 6+ years back . It was the factory fitted front tyre size on my RX100 , RX135 & Crux . 2.75x18 size which is default for Splendor/CD/Passion is readily available .

Ekdum sahi . 1 watt LED would be sufficient to mimic the illumination produced by the OE 10 watt tungsten filament bulbs . And save a lots of load on the battery . Some say 20 watts for few seconds is not much load for even the 2.5ah battery . But when I need the flasher , I also usually need the rear brake lights and the horn ( plus the indicator buzzer I fitted ) , all at once .
The problem is that in the Splendor+ the OE electro-mechanical flasher unit would not activate with low watt bulbs , it needs the near-20-watts load produced by the filament lamps to work .

All the speedo panel lamps on Splendor+ , other than the neutral lamp , gets AC power from the harness .

After overhaul compression is good and kick tight than before .Only one problem remains before and after overhaul.
The problem is a noise ,like tappet. When I accelerate there is no noise. Before engine opening , cannot identify the source where it creates. After first time cylinder head opening , sibun sir helps and for few km there is no noise, at that time valve and rocker arm are replaced. After few km it restart. All spare parts are seems good.I also inspect all spares from my mech and he said not see anything wrong. After engine overhaul feel it is from head.
I try both feelargauge method and hand method on tappet but, no change.A speciality I found in noise is , some times there is no noise but some time it is there .
Expect this noise the bike is going good.Click image for larger version

Why not give the Apache flasher a shot. That's what we used in ZMA when going for led flashers. The relay is not load depended like the stock Hero relays.
