I was thinking of swapping the silencer of my pro to an old short silencer of old splendor as i really like the beat and free revving nature of the old splendor. But i remember
sibun ji telling that installing the old splendor silencer will burn the exhaust valve. sibun ji, could you please explain how would the old silencer cause damage to the exhaust valve. It would be really helpful
Actually you can't do that. The new silence has a catcon. So back pressure is more. If you install old model silencer low end torque will be gone. So will Lao mileage as you have to rev the engine to pull.

Check clutch free play. May be has increased than recommended.

Also check chain slack.

Too tight chain will cause it.

Is there any way to reduce vibration from the tank area? It vibrates a lot above 50kmph...

Hello all,
Can anyone brief me a way on how to tune the AFR , i think its messed up by the ASC,
Bike : Splednor I smart(damn its so much de-tuned for mileage), i always feel it lags in performance with respect to its Splendor pro brothers.

A small update from my side. My passion pro completes 5 years as of today. 65,800 kms done and still going strong. Serviced it at 65000 kms. The racer set have gone again. It was RMP bearing. Will replace it during next service. Also the speedometer needle is swaying a lot below 30 kmph. Bought the pinion set for that too. Will change that in the next service.

For best results I'd suggest you do this after replacing your Air filter and Spark plug.

Temporarily disable the SAI using a ball bearing, just pull out the small tube that connects to the manifold between the head and carburetor and insert a ball bearing into the pipe and reconnect it, not all motorcycles come with SAI but if yours does then you would need to temporarily disable it.

Gently screw the AFR screw in and then open it by 0.5 turns, start the motorcycle(throttle might be needed) and the raise the idle using the idle screw so that a higher than usual idle can be maintained without having to keep the throttle manually open, make sure that the idle is not way too high as idling an air cooled motor at high RPM's is not nice thing to do.

Now open the the AFR screw gently, you would notice the RPM rise, keep gently opening it until you reach a point where the RPM plateaus opening any further would result in the RPM dropping, stop at the point where the RPM plateaus, remove the bearing from the SAI hose and reconnect it.

Now set the idle such that the motorcycle idles without stuttering.

You're done!

• Headlight bulb query

Hi everyone.. out of these 2 bulbs which is a better headlight bulb option for passion pro... Osram Silverstar 35/35 watt ,, & Osram Rallye 45/40 watt ?
Can stock wiring take the load of 45/40 watt bulb ?
Also, i dont have the position lamp in headlight, so that saves 5 watt.
1 other thing,, i recall someone in this thread said that removing the silver/black coating on the tip of the bulb is helpful too. But i cant find that post. So, senior members please tell me how to remove the coating on the tip of the bulb,, & which bulb to choose out of the 2 mentioned above.. or if there is some even better option ? sibun , Paul , Pinaki , .. Please guide as bike is in dire need of new bulb. Stock bulb is 8 years old & really dim now. Thanks.

Use osram nightracer 35/35w. Don't use a higher wattage bulb as your lighting coil won't support it. Osram silver star is good, but nightracer is better. Change your reflector assembly too, if it's old.

Use osram silver Star. Has awesome focus and good lumens output.

Changed bulb to Osram Silverstar ,, satisfied with the result.
Osram Nightracer was not available ,, shopkeepers said they dont keep it because it costs more, so no customer usually asks for such bulbs.

You can use tubeless tyres by changing the valve. I have done it on my brother's splendor.
