Splendor is bullet proof, i have owned both brands and Hero is far more superior. Quality is the best.

I have a hero and I can tell quality and reliability both are awesome. The engine takes time to set in. But once it does, you will enjoy every bit of it. I do not own a honda so cant comment on that. But I have read some posts on internet and xbhp as well that yuga's tyres start to lost grip soon and being tubeless, they are not available with the dealers.

Dude_creative can tell you more about yuga.

If you can wait for some time, then consider iSmart 110. It would be launching by mid 2016 according to internet. Fully developed by hero.

Dream yuga and iSmart 110 both have 110cc engine so it would be easier to compare.

This 110cc honda engine is already used in around 5 bikes , and has not given me problems in 21k kms but I strictly service the bike as per manual. I even redlined many times, you hit rev limiter around 70kmph in 3rd gear which is cool. Tyres still stock tvs tubeless can go another 10k kms. Spare availability is the one biggest advantage of splendor, but i am in chennai where virtually everything is available at GP road honda genuine shops. If you are bored driving splendor but still want the same feel + bigger bike like Shine, Dream yuga/neo is for you.

Paul sir, please explain why non resistor plug can never be light brown/tan? I am asking this because it definitely appears light brown to me. Maybe in the pic it is blurred.

And regarding OE plug, some members here suggested that there is no harm in using non resistor plug?

I have gone through your post about tuning and read it many times. I will surely do it.

                I like both of them.
But technology wise, I love latest technology so I chose the Dream neo. The seat length is also another factor to choose Dream series.
Mileage maximum I was able to extract was 65kmpl, in cities it is 57 kmpl. Coming to splendor, it exists so many years that all mechanics can work on it.
Both are Honda technology so you won't go wrong with either of them. Test drive and decide yourself bro.

Its not the reason of resistor or non-resistor. It is because that plug is a colder plug. Yes there's no harm in using non-resistor.

You may find it light brown however in that plug you will never get the actual color like this

So I can continue using that plug as of now? I cant go to the svc nowdays. If I would have known this just 2 days before, then I would have bought the OE plug because I was at svc for service.

Indeed, that is a very rare colour to find in spark plugs.
Yes colours differ in resistor and non resistor plugs.

                      Thank you.

Only one i know at mehrauli road (auto needs) but they are crap, doesn't even have stock of common spares.

I think you cannot determine ignition coil fitness with simple metering because it's showing okay at the small test voltages of the meter , may or may not breakdown at their operational voltages which exceeds 20 kilovolts . Same with ignition cable , it's insulation and the spark plug too .

Been through some rough days..... Life is full of ups and downs.... Anyways..... Pinaki da as your Ignition coil showed 4kΩ and mine is showing 7.39kΩ, it is quite clear mine has almost doubled. Inline with spark plug and plug cap yours is 8kΩ in total. Mine is 7.39kΩ ignition coil + 5kΩ of the plug cap =12.39kΩ Total. I think that clears the picture a bit .... That is why I saw improvement when i switched to non resistor spark plug. So I think the ignition coil is the culprit why i had to clean the spark plug so frequently.
Since last time when I got bad mileage (hope you guys remember the incident) and found out my Air screw was almost screwed in. I took my bike to a stranded place (coz I live in an apartment) and tuned my bike and since then I have been getting 72 - 75 kmlp mileage and I didnt had to open the spark plug to clean the carbon deposit for past one month. Though the AFR was almost perfect, one thing I like to share is that i have kept the air screw half turn out. I didnt do it intentionally but this was the best and optimal setting I got. Did the tuning according to Sibun Sir's guide. The mileage , throttle response and spark plug everything was perfect at this point but the only concern was that the air screw was only half turn out. I was thinking at that point that it was due to clogged jets and once I clean the carb I will also be able to set the air screw 1.5 turn out as everybody here is always saying that 1.5 turn out is a good starting point for tuning the carb.

Couple of weeks ago i got the Air screw O-ring and yesterday I cleaned the carb thoroughly and put in the new O-ring (old O-ring was almost flattened). Cleaned every screw and hole. But when I again re-tuned my carb the most optimal setting I can find is the same half turn out. Anything more then that leads to slow throttle response or rmp comes back to normal in slow motion. Am I doing something wrong or am I having a unique bike lolzzz .. Dont know if mechanic has ever swapped my jets or not . I found out No.105 and No.38 jet in my carb while cleaning. Is this half turn setting a thing of concern or should I just forget it and enjoy 70+kmpl mileage and be a happy person.
One thing I forgot to tell you guys that when I completely tighten the air screw the engine does not die, It still stays on. I thought cutting the air completely should kill the motor but surprisingly it stays on. And when I am on half turn out the engine do not die even if I fully unscrew the rpm/throttle screw. Cant understand whats going on with my carb.

Thank you Sibun sir. If you havnt told me about the o-ring it would have not got changed.

Leave mech, Ride sanely till 50 kmph till 1000 kms.

Start slow, idle for 1-2 min early morning.
                              Avoid hard braking and acceleration.

Rest assured you can find run in procedure almost in every thread.
