Kindly wait until OE stock of clutch and pressure plates arrive, makino and other local clutch plates are not good, they ruin the clutch basket in long run. In addition to these ,buy the rotor centrifugal oil filter packing too ,clean the oil filter and install this packing.

tried to reply to your pm , but your message box is full - please cleanup . So I am replying here -Originally posted by Brezon95 View PostPeople here doing DIY stuff have really encouraged me to DIY. Now I am also slowly collecting all the beginner tools. Here is a pic of my collection till now.
Wrenches are good . But for wheel nuts you'll need larger sizes than in this set I think ? This is why I never buy sets of tools , some odd sizes are nice to have but remains unused forever . For wheel nuts , buy both ends ring spanner . Not combination . Those are longer and stronger and you'll need lots of torque on wheel nuts . Most used size for this bike is No 10 & 12 . Largest size bolt on this bike is steering stem nut , which is 30/32 I think - even I don't have anything that size
Pliers - these won't last long under heavy use from my experience , I have discarded my misc pliers - they get wobbly at the pivots and rust . Only taparia pliers last me because I also do lots of electrical and electronics work . But taparia model 1621 (6/7 & 8 inches ) is not needed for bike work , they are designed for electrical work and bit costly ( around Rs 200 ) .
For bike best buy taparia 1221-6 slip-joint plier Rs 80 only . It's so small handy can hold bolts well and I can store in bike toolbag itself . Slip joint allows to open up the jaws for larger bolts etc .
oil-can is not really necessary for this bike , it was useful for my old scooter . But it has many other general uses .
You have already read my post about screwdrivers .
For oil drain and washing parts etc , metal stainless-steel utensils are better . Because oil when drained is hot and can deform plastic . Also abrasion from metal parts .
For chain lube use only 90 gear oil . Don't buy expensive brand , you'll find cheap local brand 90 gear oil from truck / auto-rickshaw parts shops - sufficient for chain . From same type of shops , also buy some black grease . No need to clean up the chain , covered chain doesn't get that dirty - just wipe with cloth before oiling . After applying the 90 oil on chain for few cycles ( say a couple of weeks ) and riding some more , one day just apply the black grease on the chain brushing it in well with old toothbrush . The grease shall trap in the oil inside the chain . Then you'll not have to lubricate the chain for months .Last edited by Pinaki; 07-31-2016, 03:38 PM.

Yes Pinkai da these wrenches are just for small works. I have seen ASC guys tightening wheel nuts by big ring spanners they require a lot of torque.Originally posted by Pinaki View PostWrenches are good . Sure sir. Would look for taparia plier.Pliers - these won't last long under heavy use from my experience , I have discarded my misc pliers - they get wobbly at the pivots and rust . Yes it does not have any major use but I thought that it would be convienient to quickly lube all footpegs, kick, main and side stand after a wash so I bought it.oil-can is not really necessary for this bike , it was useful for my old scooter . But it has many other general uses .
I will service the bike after 2k kms. Recently got it serviced from ASC. I will get gear oil and lube the chain in service. I dont want any expensive chain lubes tooYou have already read my post about screwdrivers .

I also think about it before i buying. But a small urgent need lead me to buy duplicate plate.I also buy the packing for the roter filter.
After opening the clutch i found small grooves on clutch housing.
I does not change the whole pressure plate.I feel old oe plate is better than duplicate. So i replace only one pressure plate.Because i feel that has a little worn than other.
i adjusted the tappet to .03mm as sibun sir suggest.
these are the conditions of clutch side.
is clutch bell overly damaged ?
is i want to change urgently?or it last some more?
thanks allLast edited by ranjithp; 07-31-2016, 10:35 PM.

Re: Hero Moto Splendor/Joy/CD-Dawn/Passion
Small query guys. Recently in rains water entered bike's plug cap several times. So I want to ask that does water do any damage to plug cap? I am asking this because I am facing missing/hiccups problem recently. And this cant be because of lean AFR because I got it tuned from SVC and this problem started after rains only. I also opened the plug cap today to see if I can clean it somehow, but I dont think it can be cleaned so I put it back.

ranjithp : now that you have bought local parts, install them. Going by the grooves on the housing, it needs rebuild atleast at a later date. I don't see any reason in replacing just one steel plate, replace to the new set. Again, make it a point to never buy local parts, they cause more harm then good.Kinetic Honda ZX(2001)

Water/moisture will lead to rust formation on metal parts.
The missing/hiccups suggests the mixing of water with the petrol. You need to drain out the compromised fuel and clean the tank + ask the servicing guy to clear the passage for draining water seeping through the plug cap.
Hope it helps.

Thanks bro but bro spark plug is tightened enough I dont think water can enter through plug cap. I think you are telling about petrol tank cap?Originally posted by dnewguy View PostHi

Yes , my OE plug cap got ruined same way . When I took it apart this is how it looked -Originally posted by Brezon95 View PostSmall query guys. Water had seeped deep into it and the end-caps of the internal resistor ( white piece ) was rusted . Naturally rusty contact like this drove electrical resistance of the plug-cap sky-high and poor sparking of the plug . Same symptoms as you stated , replace it . You can confirm the fitness of the plug-cap by measuring it's resistance with a multimeter . I also found later that Bajaj Pulsar's plug-cap is lower resistance ( 1Ω instead of our 10 ), much better made ( doesn't rust this easy ) , lot cheaper and direct fit . To Hero's credit , I think they got news of the problem and all their current plug caps ( both black one and newer red ) have brass screw at the end instead of steel screw .
Even for this it's not good , it just squirts out too much oil and too fast . Better use a toothbrush dipped in oil .Originally posted by Brezon95 View Post.. but I thought that it would be convienient to quickly lube all footpegs, kick, main and side stand after a wash so I bought it..
I found that my ASC here doesn't use 90 gear oil for chain lube , they don't have it even . They just use their thin 10w30 for everything . So beware .Originally posted by Brezon95 View Post.. No no, I will service myself, not from ASC.I found that my ASC here doesn't use 90 gear oil for chain lube , they don't have it even . They just use their thin 10w30 for everything . So beware .

The gear oil ep 90 can be obtained from the vehicle dealers...when first service of car, they will drain off gear oil..they will give it to you for a very cheap rate...Originally posted by Brezon95 View Post
