    Brother Kalyan , Why not visit your nearest Hero service center and ask them to locate and fix the leak ? Considering all other options I feel this shall be best for your bike .

        Hi friends, a small query here..how does auto choke works? when engine is cold it will activate and after starting it will deactive?vechicle is kinetic honda pre Y2K model.

          All kinetic Hondas except the 4 stroke version came with this auto choke mechanism which used turn on during start and turned of when the engine warmed up. The y2k version was slightly different and needed a good battery to auto choke else one had to manually open the inspection rubber and press down the choke and kick start. I own a kinetic Honda y2k so I have dealt with this. By the way this should be discussed in the relevant two stroke thread, kindly post all further queries related to your kinetic Honda there.

            Last week I went to the Hero authorised dealers here and asked for Rotor-filter-gasket for Splendor+ and they gave me 2 of these .



            Which is not the correct one and I didn't notice then as is usual with all my shopping . Then today again I went there and this time they gave me the right one (hopefully) . They explained that this is NOT the rotor-filter gasket but the oil-filter gasket for Splendor



            So my question is , what the hell are those 3-holed gaskets for on Splendor ? Are they for the Splendor at all or some other bike ? Is asbestos gasket-paper available here somewhere in sheets ? - so that I don't have to visit these duffers again for gaskets .

                  You could pick up the gasket paper from a car parts dealer. Most car parts such as the timing cases in 800 and gypsy need silicone to be used as packing else gasket to be cut out from paper, as gaskets are hardly available for these.

                      That's what I was wondering , Xtreme & even the Pulsars have 3 holed gaskets for their rotor-filter covers , certainly not anywhere on the Splendor . The dealer salesboy wouldn't admit his mistake and kept saying this is also for Splendor only and didn't take it back

                        I serviced my bike last week. Changed oil to veedol 10w 30. Water washed, lubed the chain, cleaned the air filter, waxed with formula 1 wax. The bike shines good. After servicing the bike, it began to rain from the very next day till today. Hope you know about the condition here in north TN.

                            Second major work in 6 month : Was in vicinity and contacted [MENTION=28527]sibun[/MENTION] and went for a full overhaul. Though the old bore ( re-bored new piston in June) was in almost good shape, no smoke while reved but compression was leaking somewhere and some aging parts needed replacement.

                            Apart from Bore/piston, Valve, Clutch plate other parts replaced : Gear leaver and shaft, Lock set. Petrol knob. Could not find front suspension spring so front suspension feels

                            Center stand and side stand fix kept me busy previous day on welding workshop. but forgot back suspension bushes need them too, so back suspension bushes could not be replaced.

                            Regarding lighting : One filament is acting up so long throw is less brighter than short. speedometer assembly is not visible at night. both waiting for next visit.

                            Total bill rounded to 5000 and one full day at auto workshop.

                              Glad i could be of some help. The funny thing is that we both have never met nor talked. Only contacted through message. But still you trusted me so much. Thats just amazing.

                              Even today we couldn't meet.

                              And thats my mechanic handwriting. Its horrible but as you know his quality of work is awesome.

                              You are not the only one. Our xbhp member Honda_cbf had come from jamshedpur to get his stunner engine completely overhauled.
