Did u try cleaning your oily hands with this?
Make your hands dirt with your chain sprocket black grease/oil, and apply this motor flush to see how well its cleans...pls let me know that!
ok i will do that..the bottle mentions that it contains PETROLEUM DISTILLATE (64741-44-2)..and the recommended quantity is 10 % of engine oil...Its smells somewhat like kerosene and diesel...
Its says it will dissolve gum ,sludge and varnish and helps free sticking litters and oil pan

No , I have not poured in mine yet - still have another bottle of HeroHonda 10w30 which I am determined to finish off by this winter ... so . Dunno about Servo's 4T Synth - have just seen the hoardings for it here now , but Gulf's Synth is not a semi or blend - it's full synthetic , possibly(given the price) petroleum derived which they called group-III hydrocracked in the industry. For all purposes it is very like group-IV PAO synthetic oils , except for it's life which I don't care much about since I'd be changing it at 2000Kms/4 months anyway . Few countries does not allow group-III based oils to be marketed as synthetic (like Germany) since it's based on highly refined petroleum stock only .With the climbing prices of mineral oils , even little better than standard mineral for Rs300 is welcome .

@paul - Bike is looking awesum ! What are you using to polish the plastics and handle-grips ? I surely need sum of that !

      @shoeb - your inbox is full , didn't take pm .
Gulf Pride 20W40 is not available easily, haven't seen Synth anywhere till now.
All other companies like TOP 1,Motorol, Wurth,Bosch,Castrol,Hero Honda,Honda,Bajaj 10000 are available easily at a neighboring parts shop.

My splendor does not take well to grades other than X-W40 because of my riding style so I am in search of a good 10W40 Semi-synthetic oil under Rs.350.
Tomorrow evening after college I will lookout for Shell Advance AX7/Veedol Super Swift or even Gulf Pride 4t Synth in the main market.
      Any other suggestions ?

Waiting for your detailed review on Gulf Pride 4T.

I also noticed one strange thing with Motul when I extended the drain period to 2800 kms this time.
--> For the first 1000 kms the clutch operation is smooth and normal,
-->1000 to 2000kms clutch feels grippy and slips very less,
-->2800+ clutch judder is noticeable and clutch operation is not smooth, clutch feels grabby.
Can you explain why this happens ? Is it because of oil losing viscosity as a result oil is being squished-out easily and makes the plates grab more ??

Thanks. Here I've used 4 different polishes.
Waxpol wax i.e, Scotter polish on painted surface
Waxpol Dash Board Polish....for meter console, blinkers, utility box, handle switches & cables
Waxpol Tyre Polish for bringing back new shine, really works and its awesome. Tyre looks shiny new black + it can also use on plastic surfaces.
Waxpol Metal Polish on nickel surfaces, rims, leg guard, silencer....

Then this will absolutely work on cleaning chain sprocket. If this filled in a aerosol can with an air pressure then it will work like a degreaser for sure.
How much u paid for it?

Cyclo engine-flush is available in bike size 100ml can too(why did you buy the 500ml ?) and yes it smells like diesel/kero ... most probably based on the same too . After using it , remember that some of the engine-flush+old oil was still inside there when you poured in your Veedol , so it's been contaminated a bit . Do a quicker oil change than you normally do , say within 1000 kms ...

I've all but the dash-board & metal polishes . I used the silicone-liquid polish on the chrome too and it works nice . But I absolutely gotta get the dash-board one now . How much for it ?

Kerosene is the best practical de-greaser for chain . Use diesel if you can't get kero .

If you want 10w40 better go for FS . 10w40 is too wide a range for a SS oil to manage very well very long .

I've noticed that clutch engagement is generally more snappy with Motul 3000 than any other 20w40 I've used ... but I have never used ANY oil more than 2000kms in the past few years(usually less) , so I've not noticed the deterioration you have . Yah , what else can it be other than the oil thinning out ?

Ok , now my PM to Sibun has also bounced .. something wrong with my browser+new-xbhp format it seems .

Actually i haven't bought the bottle. I bought the pouch for Rs.10 to give a try. Used 4-5 times and now its over. It gives a awesome results, have whitish color, creamy type, smells so good that I loved it. But the thing i don't like it washed off when it comes in contact with water in rain. It doesnt give UV protection, but have high gloss shine.

I too use kero for cleaning chain. but i'm thinking to make my own air pressure degreaser.

Like this another thing is available MOTOR FLUSH

ADD MOTOR FLUSH to the stock oil (old oil) in the engine and start the engine for 3 min and then draqin the oil and change the oil filter. after draining fully put new oil filter and new oil.

                        • Semi synthetic oil in my joy

As you all know i had changed my bore, two months back.
So at first oil change, i changed to motul 3000 4t to set the bore and since i was not new to oil so i knew its performance.
But for past 2-3 years i was using 10W 40 semi synthetic oil in my joy, so i didn't know of mineral oil. At first i was using VEEDOL super swift 10W 40 and was the best oil that i have used till now.
Then i used shell AX7 10W 40 oil because of non availability of veedol at that time.Since my retailer friend had ordered 3 cartoons and since idiot people do not know about oil, for them castrol is best. The time at which i spent in my friends shop when i get time, i see all customers clambering for castrol, hero honda or honda oil.
Most idiots think Honda oil is of some superior grade and is imported. They do not know hero honda and honda oils are made by veedol, but idiots just go by name. Heck, most thinks HONDA makes the best quality bikes but i think HERO provides more quality. Some customers are there that they will not understand anything and they thinks they are intelligent. So those cartoons are slowly being finished by me and my friends.
So the main thing is that since i was using 10W 40 all time, i was not feeling the difference.
The motul was 20W 40 oil and was good, but i forgot at what km the oil was changed. So i kept on riding and slowly the oil became so bad that on engine heating the engine will not idle. The oil became so thick that the idle decreased. Then i drained the oil and filled shell AX7 10W 40 and the difference was immediately noticeable.
Since i was using 20W 40 and also that was fully spoilt, so the effects were noticed immediately.
The idle speed increased a lot and the engine revved free. Also the pick up increased and the bike will lift wheel easily in first gear with slight provocation.
So SHELL AX7 10W 40, you all can use and feel the difference.

                          In my joy i have used every oil possible- 20W 40,10W 30, 10W 40, and also 15W 50.

                          • I did not observe any significant difference between Motul and AX7 in terms of NVH. I using this oil since last 150 kms and now my clutch slips in morning when I try to kick start it with full force. When the engine is warm kick is tight but clutch does not slip.
With Motul 3000,clutch was grabbing like anything and now with this oil it slips only in morning.STRANGE.

My neighbourhood retailer has stopped stocking veedol take off just because the price difference between castrol and veedol is just Rs.10/-.

Found the motomax dashboard polish(yellow bottle,on the right in the pic) , Rs 85 for 100ml , comes with the small sponge applicator . None around here had the waxpol one , none had the handy 10ml pouch packs .
Anyway , motomax is good ? or I should have looked further for waxpol's or else ? Gotta clean up the bike now , it's all caked up with monsoon mud and festivals are here .

The clutch engagement "snap" you feel with the Motul 3000 4T 20w40 and the slick gearshifts it gives till the end ( around 1800-2000 kms for me ) is not matched by other oils I have used in any grade . I hinted you this already but didn't stress on it , since subjective observations like this gives rise to heated arguments on public forums . Perhaps there is no slip as such , you are just feeling the difference . You'll not find the snappy clutch pull of motul 3000 in other oils , I like it very much . Also check if your clutch is adjusted correctly and not too tight with little free-play .
