    divyansh....

I will suggest you to go for original shocks rather than some other brand, escorts shocks are real good but i don't know whether they can be fiited on splendor, or you can try for endurance, rear shocks should cost some between 12 to 1500/-rs., i have heard many people complaining about rear shocks of pro, the sound is common most problem which occurs due to splendor pro's worn out joints and worn suspension bushing, so better be stick to the OE part my bro.

Its been about 4 months on the pro's shock absorbers. Going very well. Some 150-200 Costlier than splendor's shock absorbers.

That's good buddy if shocks are going well, and how is the feed back on rough roads particularly with pillion, and do they tend to bottom on high speed hitting a pot hole.

            Hello fellow bikers..
I have problem with my splendours engine oil drain bolt
Yesterday will servicing it found that the bolt had give up and bolt head was missing
Had to take to a fabricator to remove the bolt.. after that it was discovered that the threads were gone too.. got re-threading done and Got a new orignal bolt from svc
But today morning noticed oil leaking from bolt.. bolt is tight ( not overtightened) and have used teflon tape to stop leakage.. still then its leaking any suggestions? photos attached below..

Friends, I had my first accident in my passion pro today. Not a major one. I was returning to home from college, which is 93 km one way. I have to cross a small town before reaching the national highway. In that town, a Guinness record shall be given to each and every one for disobeying the traffic rules. I was riding at a speed of 40 kmph. Opposite to me, a tipper lorry was overtaking a tata ace. so, i moved to the left of the road to give way to the lorry. Suddenly an idiotic man around 45 years old in a splendor pro came perpendicular to me to cross the road. Before i could think, i hit the splendor pro, the lorry stopped just before 2 feet with a sudden break. The pillion rider in the splendor was an old man. All this happened within a second. The splendor fell down. I did not fall nor my bike. My front number plate got bent, also the visor portion which is below the headlight broke. My two RVMs were dislocated. My passion's front wheel was not rotating freely. I yelled at that man, 'cant you cross the road carefully? dony you have brains?'. He did not reply anything. The pillion rider was sitting on the side of the road and holding his leg. I could feel that he was suffering from pain. I was sorry for him. I walked towards him to help, but the villagers gathered around and told me to go away and asked sorry on behalf of him. If the mistake was on mu side, they all will have bashed me up by now!! Since there was problem with my front wheel, i called my mechanic after riding out of that town. He told me to loosen the front brake. After i did it, my problem solved. So, i rode home with rear brake only. Then went to mechanic's and inspected the bike. No serious problems was found. So friends, be more carefull while riding. There are a lot of stupids on road.

Will this have affected the headlight beam? I ride a lot during night. So i cannot compromise on headlight beam.

Brother I just hope you are ok
I dont like seeing my buddies hurt
Just check the wheel for any bends by putting on main stand and asking someone to press the rear, now look for any bends by spinning the wheel, also check axel and spacer, when I was hit in the back my an auto one of my brake shoe springs had snapped but then replaced that and all fine.
If the visor is cracked there is a very good way to fix it. Remove it and Use feviquick and seal it. Then take a soldering iron nd heat and stick the plastic from the inside with a piece of lether wrapped around your finger, I did that for a zmr of my friends. From the outside all you will see is a crack... keep putting little little feviquick on it and let it dry slowly it will fill up perfectly!
Headlight beam if it is dislocated can be adjusted
Point your light at a wall and put a pencil mark and adjust it with adjusting screw till it points slightly to the left and not dead straight or towards the right since we are in a left hand drive country and you dont want to blind oncoming traffic.
Ps:- remember to rub the pencil mark of the wall or you might get a scolding from yor parents like I did
And have a good nights sleep
                    Just thankul you are ok...,

Edit:- I forgot, check for any misalignments or bend in forks buy riding and carefully taking your hands off the handlebar on a straight smoothe road if it pulls on either direction then bad news or else your lucky! Please be carefull while doing this

Top up oil before riding, you oil seems fairly new.

Ok, if you have tools , do a front end alignment .

                        Loosen fork pinch bolts
                        Loosen axle bolt
loosen handle bolt (if you have one )

And slowly without starting bike , hit front wheel on a wall say at 1-2kmph , just rolling speeds , this will bring the wheel in centre of handle and align the forks which might be twisted in T bars .

Using a thread or string as guide check whether wheel is in same line from visor . this will check whether wheel is aligned.

And whole underbody was cleaned before and after rethreading ... today since it was raining heavily while driving it again became dirty.. ( topped up and then drove less than 9kms.. oil loss is not that much..)
I have used a o ring and washer leakage reduced but its still there.. will have it checked at svc tomm.. I suspect the bolt might not be proper splendour one i guess!
Ps :-got washer and o ring around 3pm today ..

Actually the problem may be because the mating surface is not straight/plain hence the washer is not sealing/seating properly, leaving a gap, even after tighting.
It had happened in my case. Would suggest to drain the oil clean the surface and check if its straight/plain. In my case, I used a grinding hand file to make the surface plain so that the washer should fit/seal properly.
Do this and use anabond 330 or 350 I think, the white one, it becomes rubber type after dry. Then a slight touch only will seal it much better and there will be no leakes.

Yes, i am fine. I got only a swollen elbow and a swollen ankle. It will be cured in 2 or 3 days. Thank you for your concern. The wheel does not have any bents. No mis-alignments. I put the bike on main stand and rotated the front wheel. It was fine. No bend or oil leaks in forks. I was afraid if my handbar got mis-aligned. I rode in a straight road and took off the hands. The bike went straight. So i think there is no problem till now. I shall let you know if there is any problem. Regarding headlight, i rode the bike in a very dark highway yesterday night. The illumination was as usual before. So, no problem with the beam. I am planning to replace the visor and keep the broken one in stock. What is your opinion?

I checked it. No problems to my knowledge. If the handbar is bent even about 2 to 3mm, we can feel the pain in our shoulders. Am i right?
