Sure, buddy. Why ask? Sharing is caring. Spread this out and allow all Super Sprinters out there take the benefit. You can only do one thing with the help of this manual - Take good and proper care of a Classic CBZ. Right? Then why not? After this, may be, we will have to read it very less times that some CBZ broke down somewhere because the owner couldn't take care of her due to lack of technical knowledge about the machine, right? If at all we're able to save the life of at least one CBZ by sharing the manual everywhere, I'd say it will be an achievement. Take care man...and share it.Originally posted by diffuser911 View PostThanks for talking the pain where I pussied out man, I am sure everyone will appreciate it a lot. If you don't mind, can I post the link on other forums as well?

I do not have my old spoke wheels to try them on my bike but I will surely try fueling and other options.Originally posted by nirvaana View PostPlz check your fueling too as you say there's a performance drop noticed. If you have the spoke wheels still with you then you can try to switch back to confirm if top speed getting a hit due to them.

Hi friends.
I hav CBZ star 2005 with disc, done around 41k kms. I use 20W40 castrol changed a month ago during servicing. I replace spark plug with NGK, and hav changed sprocket and chain kit.
But still performance is not remarkable.
Some times Engine emits white smoke on idle rpm. and gets overheated. pickup is not so good. Bike resists to go above 50 kmph and starts vibrating. I foundthick greasy black deposit at exhaust. I think piston rings should be changed and needs decarbonization.
But Mechanic told me that my bike needs new piston, boring in the block.
What should I do????

@Prakhar, I would recommend you to stick to company recommended parts (plug and chain set). Hope you did not alter the teething much. Re-boring has to be done by an expert with proper tools else its a waste of money. I would suggest you to go to SVC and get original block and piston. You will restore the bike's glory in that case

Total file size is 105.33MB and there are 209 files/pages. Kindly check and let me know whether any of the pages are illegible. I will try to rescan those pages and upload again, or may be Diffuser will do it for you. He said that...!!! Honestly...!!! Hehehe.. Anyway, all you have to do now is download, un-rar and print (if required and please print back-to-back so you don't waste paper) and then make your CBZ look like she's just out of the showroom and make others stare at her with jealousy eyes... Hehehe.. And please do not forget to update more info about your CBZ here again. Please keep the thread alive, everyone. Keep revvvvvviiiinggggg.............!

CBZ Classic owners: I am having trouble with the air filter on my bike as it's kind of choking after speeds of 60kmph. I cleaned it with petrol but it's old and I feel is the culprit for the underperformance of my classic. I asked a few shops but none of them had a new air filter for her. Please suggest a good air filter & if there are any specific checkups needed to diagnose the performance drop. She is getting her usual service after 2.5/3k kms from a local shop. Bike runs like a sports bike till 60 and then suddenly chokes. Stats for the bike are: Mileage - 74k kms, 2001 model, no mods whatsoever, piston changed at around 60k kms.Strength is measured in pounds.

The carb might need to be cleaned. Also, loss of performance could mean worn clutch plates, if you've not had them changed, please have an experienced mech look into it.Originally posted by The One View PostCBZ Classic owners: I am having trouble with the air filter on my bike as it's kind of choking after speeds of 60kmph. Thanks AK3D...I got the clutch plates changed 1000kms back which has improved the pickup. Also the spark plug was changed to Bosch (don't know the exact part number). I asked the mechanic to use Castrol fully synthetic but when I got my bike, he told me he's used a bosch engine oil since FS oil was unavailable. Most of the mechanics I have went to are only after money and will straight away advice for an engine overhaul and others are just not interested and will say that you'll need to leave the bike for 2-3 days and then we'll see. I already had a bad experience with a local mechanic opening up the engine at around 50k mileage so I am really hesitant to do that. And, Delhi HH centers are not good enough for anything more than a oil change. They couldn't solve the battery problem of my bike for 2 years. Every time I gave my bike for service, I got it back with more faults than it had before service.Originally posted by AK3D View PostThe carb might need to be cleaned. since your bike is not PERFORMING like a CBZ should (based on your previous posts), i suggest you get you bike back up to its optimum performance before thinking about oil grades. And yeah, stick to 20w40 !!Originally posted by PrakhaR Maurya View PostHi friends.

And your bike definitely needs a rebore (if the job can be done well) with new piston& rings (or a new block+piston kit if you can spend more) and also new valves & valve guides, and maybe even a timing chain kit! In short it needs a top end rebuild.
