Your insurance premium would go up slightly.

    1. You will not get No Claim bonus next year so there is no chance of reduction in insurance premium
    2. Your premium for own risk would go up because of your claim.
    3. This is presuming that you are keeping IDV of the vehicle as same. Usually, IDV is reduced each year to truly reflect market price of vehicle.

      Thanks man,

I figured I'll be losing the no claim bonus. Altogether it sucks :| The bikes full of random scratches here and there.

P.S: There is a frame that holds the headlight\fairing in place - check if it is not damaged as well.

I had an accident and went to PBK showroom at Lower Parel Phoenix Mall in Mumbai

          a) these guys tell me that 3 things need to be change i.e. front fairing and mudguard which both are broken and its obvious : total of Rs.10 K
          b) they told me the headlight also needs to be changed although it is not scratched or broken: Cost Rs.11 K. They said its moving and hence the assembly must be broken
          c) the other problem is that the parts are not availale and have to be ordered from abroad which will take 1 month

          the other big problem:
I purchased this bike as a used one from this guy who had a Bajaj Allianz insurance. The insurance can be transferred only if I have to RC on my name. I was waiting for the RC to come which came after the accident. Now when I went to Bajaj Allianz, the guys over there inspected the bike as a process of transfer of the insurance policy. They say that whatever damages at the time of inspection for transfer of insurance policy cannot be claimed. My whole point to them was that the insurance policy gives the owner the right to claim damages and we are talking of only transfer of ownership not a fresh insurance policy. They said that as of now Bajaj Allianz knows the original owner of the policy who has no ownership of the vehicle and the new owner of the vehicle has no relation as yet with Bajaj Allianz. Such bullshit policies.

I am gonna have to spend almost 30k for new parts, job work and the 3rd service. Damn I could have bought a DSLR / Other Mods.

Just curious - if the 'assembly' is broken, why change the headlight instead of that part?

Could you call up Pathan (9773253345) from PBK Ghatkopar? He is in charge of spares there - and may be able to help you out. 1 month is a tad long wait.

Exactly my point .. Why change the whole headlight ... according to him it doesnt come seperately and the whole headlight with assembly has to be changed. How do you trust these guys now.

I will call up Pathan thanks a lot Mithun....

              • Hey guys, my N250R has a small leak in it's left front fork! Would that rob my pocket or a small check up with the pbk would do wonders? It hasn't had any fall nor any bangs into pot holes.

Had similar problem on my bike. Got it fixed last week from PBK. Eventhough it was leaking on left side, I got oil and seal changed on both sides. Just to give same level of cushion on both sides.

On my bike, seal was damaged. Not sure if seal is damaged on your bike as well.

Costed INR 1400 for seal, oil and labour.

If you want it done on one side, should be around 700 to 900 INR.

Ah thanks buddy, I would get it done on both the forks to maintain an equal oil level.

I gave my bike for its 3rd service a couple of weeks back.Service station:Khivraj motors,Indiranagar.Having received the bike I noticed that the headlight lowbeam light was not working.I service manager took full responsibility and assured me that the bulb would be replaced free of cost.It has been two weeks now and after repeatedly calling them and hearing callous and irresponsible replies,I personally went there since I was planning on a long ride this weekend.
After a long wait,I was abruptly told that the Ninja 250R stock bulbs have stopped coming in and I was supposed to make do with the P220 bulb(cost ~Rs300,as against the stock N250 one which costs 900).I shot a mail to customer care, but still havent got a reply from them
Since the svc people have conveniently washed their hands off the matter,I need advice on further course of action.
Avoid the Pulsar bulb and just get the Philips Xtreme Vision bulb in the stock rating. I switched to the Xtreme Vision when my low beam went kaput and this one is significantly brighter than the factory fitted bulb even with the same rating.

+1. Except the wheels, tank, saree guard, bar ends, nuts, bolts, shocks, mirror stalks, inner cables, almost everything is non-metal.

                              • Hello guys.

I need to get my bike insured, the existing one is ifko tokio and it has been done from the previous owner.
It is however valid till july, but I was wondering it would be better if I do it now itself to avoid troubles in case something wrong happens.

Also I would be taking my bike for 3rd service (previous 2 are done by previous owner) so it would be a first time bajaj SVC visit for me. What should I expect, look out for, what oil should I take and what standard costs shall I expect ?
Will they charge a bomb for lowering the shifter and the rear brake pedal ?
Also any other pointers would be very helpful.

Another thing, I also wish to install a usb charger on my bike for GPS, shall I get it done from a local mech (or myself) or the showroom guys ?
Any suggestions in that area will also be helpful.
Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.
