Wow! That's a lot of coupons! Btw, siddarth bro was right. Basic issue! And now you can be sure that that was the issue on your trip, when the bike stalled! Btw, how did you see the rust? Was each and every cable removed? Even then, the insulation on top would hide the rust which might have developed rite?
Also, it would have been priceless to see krishna's face after knowing the issue was in wiring which he so strongly denied!

Yup. Krishna got a battering of his life. Wiring was suspected and subsequently denied by him on day 1.
All rust was removed from the wires and under the insulation. Insulation ends had rust. The middle portions were fine.
Yes, each cable was removed and inspected.

@Divya Sharan, finally your truck is on the roll.

Guess what, time to get yourself a some good ol rust spray handy, especially, considering the muck inside the frame, and the prolonged delay in cleaning the most likely have caused this rusting issue. Keep rust spray handy and touch on these exposed, yet delicate parts periodically to get ride of the rust and muck out, your truck should reach the 100k pretty much without any fuss.

Cheers!

Actually once we saw that the bank angle sensor was a false error from the ECU I was sure the problem was something basic. That's why I kept saying we should check spark plugs or spark plug wires and so on. Finally the problem turned out to be in the wires only !!! And damn difficult to diagnose on top !!!

Well good thing that the bike is back on track !!

Strange problem happened yesterday with my bike.
While I rode from home to college without any issue (18km) but in the college, while I left the bike (not under direct sunlight, but yes temperature was scorching in Delhi) after 2-2.5 hours, my bike refused to start. It was taking self but did not start. So I moved the bike so that a friend can push it and I can force start it considering a battery issue(which is seems less likely since I replaced to a new battery last month), i tried self one last time and it started instantly withoit hassle. I was literally "WTF" moment for me.
So while I was going back home, when I first blew horn, bike stopped and meter was like I had turned off and turned on my key. So initial checks were done as are done before bike is started.
But bike kept running as clutch was open so bike was forced to keep running i guess.
After sometime I used indicator to turn and the bike stopped at the turn.
It was unable to start and now not even taking self. Thereafter 2-3 minutes later I cranked up the engine and it started smoothly. And returned home smoothly without any hassle.
Before ahowing it to the mechanic I tried my hands again and put the bike under same conditions. So I put it under scorching sun this time for hours. Went there to start and Voila it started. Took it for a ride and used all electricals unnecessarily and nothing happened.
Now I am confused what could have been the problem. Also svc guys wont believe anything until they see it with their own eyes. What do you guys think?
My guesses: 1.Electrical short circuitbof some kind.
2. Overheating of engine.

Let's start with battery terminals. Tighten them up again. Maybe a loose connection. Then inspect the starter relay as well.

There are only few problems left out i guess which we can call as strange! Cause we have dealt with various kinds of issues on all zmrs and the experience of learning was both torturous and fun, although most of you guys may not agree with the latter!
neeraj.juneja, looks like short circuit. It had happened to mine when the front break swith connector for the rear light had come loose and had srarted touching the handle bar. Maybe some part of a frayed wire is making contact with the chasis. Else, like mod saaar told, check the battery terminals!
I had a hell of a time in turning the nut on one of the nodes and realised after 3-4 minutes of useless turning that the bolt for the nut was missing! :banghead:

What would be the correct time to go for engine overhaul (term used by service center guys) for a zmr?
Mine is march 2013 model and has around 49k in odo.
Also, what is basically done when the bike is given for overhaul to the service center?
Please excuse if the question is too childish as I have little or no technical knowledge of the bike.

Shashank Bhai in my knowledge if your bike is healthy and doesn't have sign's of problem like -

Low pick up
White smoke
Engine knocking etc

You don't need any major overhaul, Till then you can maintain the general maintenance guidelines.

Seniors please share some light.

PS - do get the centrifugal filter cleaned which is at right side of the engine.

What is the correct time for a human being to get a bypass/transplant done? Does it depend upon the person's age?
I hope this (along with Vijay's response) seals the deal!

I don't think it is impossible. Getting the right alloy is the key. Even I had this thought in mind but dropped it considering the financial risk

If someone can experiment and come to conclusion then I would definitely love to put 17".

I am guessing, Honda Dazzler's alloy might suit though I am not sure
