Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
No, this should not happen. There should be absolutely no play.Originally posted by vishnurajanme View PostHi all, Previously I had reported about the front balance issue and the front wheel locking issue in the forum. Yesterday by chance, I found out something. The front disc assembly (That is bolted to the fork) has a slight lateral movement in my bike. It produces a squeaking sound also when I forces it to move. It seems like the nut/bolt holding the assembly is loose. Is it a common thing to all our bikes, or is it just me? Is it the real issue for the wheel locking? Can some one check and see in their bikes? What I did was, I put the bike in stand, hold wheel steady and jiggles the entire assembly left and right. Yes, it moves to the left and right of the disc and has some lateral movement. Please confirm this guysKinetic Honda ZX(2001)

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
There should be no play between rotor disc and pads, meaning wobble. I'm suspecting an issue with the calliper assy. Speak to our expert, Divya Sharan to fix it. Neglecting this might run you into serious trouble in future.Originally posted by vishnurajanme View PostThank you so much bro. Is this the case with others too? Please helpKinetic Honda ZX(2001)

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
It is fine to have mild play in floating disc rotors, but Karizmas come equipped with fixed disc rotors. So I'd advise you getting the rotor thickness verified and change the rotor if needed. As Akkiben specified, get the caliper assy cleaned and refit as well.Originally posted by vishnurajanme View PostThank you so much bro. Is this the case with others too? Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
Get a ring washer or scrub the existing washers with sandpaper and re-fit them. Its the washer that acts naughty and not the allen bolts.Originally posted by veryhiphop View PostFacing a issue with Right Rear Mirror...It getting loose in 10 -15 days...Allen bolt become loose...Screw not available with service center...only comes with full set of mirror...
Any suggestion to fix the allen bolt or availability of bolt....

Total cost $110 including Cost Price, Discounts and Shipping. Opted for USPS International Priority shipping, hoping to lay hands on it soon.

That's a well deserved update. I am eagerly waiting for your review and comparison with Osram NB 60/55 (hope you are running on this right now). I am just skeptic about the heat being generated with this LED setup as there are couple of online forums that speak about heat dissipation issues and installing fans and similar stuff as countermeasure. Do you have any plan on making similar setups?
I am right now struck with starting issue and i suspect the issue to be due to starter relay / its connections. If i don't start the bike for couple of days, the bike refuses to start during initial attempts while the starter relay just makes tik tik noise. If i remove the side door, tap the relay and the connected wires, the bike start afterwards. Also, once the bike starts after this effort, it behaves well by starting with single press for the complete day.
I am thinking of removing the relay, cleaning the terminals, fixing again to see if the issue vanishes.
Meanwhile, Pongal wishes / Shankaranti wishes to every XBHPians out there.Last edited by monisab2003; 01-13-2016, 05:49 PM.

Re: Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
If you see the image (in the link provided above), you'd see a huge heat sink. That takes care of the heat dissipation. I'm not even worried about battery drain issues/ reflector melting issues with this setup.Originally posted by monisab2003 View PostThat's a well deserved update. A proper review should be up provided all goes well.
You have most probably nailed it! Open the relay, take out its fuse and dust the white deposits. Similarly clean all terminals and fit it back. If the relay has cracked, replace it.Originally posted by monisab2003 View PostI am right now struck with starting issue and i suspect the issue to be due to starter relay / its connections. You can either go for the OE relay or opt for a cheaper option - Honda City/Mitsubishi Lancer relay. Costs half as much at 100 rupees. Available at car accessories shops.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
