Will ask him for the new lot then .. Thanks
Even I faced the same scenario when I purchased my ZMR . There were two black ZMR,One was given to me for TD.I thought it is an TD bike and zoomed past 85.later found that it was new one.Later I bought the second bike which had a odo reading of 1 km .But the next day, when i had gone to svc to grt my bike after registration,i found "sold" board on the other bike!!!..when enquired with the svc guy, he said that, the other bike was sold on the same day i had bought mine....I feel pity about the guy who bought it...

Which is why I don't understand why they're so rare.

I observed that the max mileage it is indicating is around 55 kmpl for a steady throttle. And that is happening on 5th gear at around 4200 rpm 65 kmph. Above or below this range drastically reduces the average.

Yes, 4-4.5k RPM in 5th cog is the sweet spot for max fuel efficiency.

          • Tires

Guys, The rear tire that is on the ZMR is the same one that first came with the CBZ, right? And after that the Pulsars had it, and I think it was the most sought after rear tire. They were way better than Dunlops and TVS tires that also came on some stock bikes. So what happened now? Why is this tire suddenly not good enough?

And I agree, it is not good enough. Skids way too easily on slightly muddy roads. So which one should I go for that will be a direct fit without any modification at all? Is it the Pirelli Sports Demon? What specifications should I be looking for?

PSD 110/90 18 cross section tire which is a direct fit.

              • Folding and unfolding of RVMs is a must for me due to congested parking. So there's no way to avoid it. Gave the bike for service at my usual private centre. Mech said he has to remove the bolt of the mirror (size 6) with help of a lathe as the groves in the nut have worn out and the allen key keeps slipping. And also as rightly pointed out by divya bro, the burning smell was caused by the clutch plate. He said it has to be replaced. And i also have a query here. An SS oil of Agip, a new clutch plate, rectification of body vibes, washing, polishing, etc is costing about 3k. Usually it would cost me around 1500/-. What is the cost of the clutch plate? 1500/-??

                      • Ok so going for PSD for rear . But which one ?
                        110/90-18 M/C TL61 H SPORTD
                        Or
                        110/80-18 M/C TL 58H SPORTD
What will be the difference between them ?
                        Stock spec. 100 / 90 x 18 – 56 P tubeless .
Also PSD has 100/90-18 M/C TL 56H SPORTD F as front tyre but the spec is same as our rear , what if it is used for rear ?

Divya bro which 1 is yours ?

And what about front ? Which 1 to go ?

And which DOT4 oil is good ? Motul or Mobil or any other .

Remove the 6 star head nuts in the black plastic/fiber surronding meter console . Then remove those 3 pieces of black plastic/fiber surronding meter console . Then you can access the bulb . Remove H4 socket from bulb then that big circular rubber . Now change the bulb after removing that clip by pressing it .

                              Mine is 110/90-18 M/C TL61 H SPORTD.
61 H can be split into 2 readings - "61" for the load index and "H" for speed rating.
61 stands for a max load of 257 kg on the tire. (I assume its bike + rider weight on the rear tire)

Now H is the speed rating. H means that the tire is safe till 130 mph/210 kmph.

DOT4 from TVS is good. 75/- per bottle. (I guess 50ml or 75 ml)

Stick to stock front, I guess it is decent enough! Also, even if PSD front has same specs as Karizma rear, refrain from using it. Doesn't sound a wise idea...
