Its possible. Read the last page in the owner's manual. Get it done ASAP from the place where u bought the bike. May need a little butter-like words though!
First of all. I would Like to Thank you for your quick response. Is the P200NS battery available for purchase in market?? I guess I will go for it in that case. I am sure Bajaj service centers will have that battery available in Delhi.. if not where will i be able to get it?? local battery shops??

      • Guys.. Please share your touring experience with ZMR.. and pics too.. any issues you guys faced during the long ride? and how you guys got it fixed so that people who go out for touring can know what kind of issues that usually shoot up and know how to get it fixed in case they face it..

To begin with, I have been on 3 long tours and one short trip.. one to Kathmandu - 2450kms in total,Rishikesh - 410kms, Narkanda - 1100kms and The Great Himalayan National Park - 1120kms.. as for me, few issues i faced were with the tyres skidding in the curves of the mountains wet conditions (Stock 100/90/18 MRF).. I had to find a particular angle beyond which the bike skids.. the other issue I faced was the Chains tighten by itself.. it was probably due to the bad alignment of the tire and issues with the battery when I kept the headlight on for more than an hour, the battery dried out.. had to push start my bike and keep only the pilot lights turned on at the night one thing i noticed was when i felt a bit tired i used to let go of the handlebars.. the bike started wobbling as if its going there is a bent in the front alloy wheel.. but after a while (say some 100kms) it was back to normal and it would appear again after sometime.. Not sure if its due to the Tyre pressure or alloy wheel bent.. unable to get it rectified.. if it was alloy wheel.. I am not sure how it gets rectified after coming back to city I would love to know your experiences too guys and Suggestions are always welcome.. Do you guys suggest Nitrogen for the tyres?? Please let me know some pics from the Narkanda Trip attached...

        • Guys,Since PSD 110/90 18" is a direct fit to zmr without cutting the chain guard or any other mod,i would be going for it as soon as i get the delivery of my bike 3 days later .. Its already raining here so i don't want to test those stock tyres and fall

Do you advice on changing both the tyres or just changing the rear is fine ? is the specification of the front same as rear ?

just changing the rear tire would be fine and will fetch you a good price for the mrf. The front tire is 80/100 - 18" while the rear is 100/90 - 18", so they are different in size.

Bro. The stock tyres are pretty neat and I don't think you need to spend extra bucks on it.. if at all you wanna go for broader tyres.. you can go for 110/90/18.. its a direct fit.. here is a pic of the tyre i recently got for my Black Pearl.. Its a IRC.. I Forgot the name of the tyres I will check and let you know though.. it cost me 2500/- The grip of these tyres are pretty neat in wet conditions and dry.. atleast til what I noticed.. i will be touring soon to Bhutan (hopefully if everything goes as planned) which is when I will learn more about this tyre.. I changed the stock tyres at 23500kms exact... and i didn't face much issues with them during rain on flat roads... Maybe cos I was used to it.. After Installing the new tyres.. the bike felt bigger.. in the sense the height of the bike increased by atleast half an inch...

                • Guys,My ZMR clutch cable got cut today when i was shifting the gear to move it in my house..Nearest town is almost nearly 10km from my home and can i ride it till there without clutch??? I mean by shifting gear at specific speed?? will it harm my engine??.Also, what is the cost of the clutch cable??? And how is the HH clutch cable???Because, I heard that the chain and sprocket set provided by HH is not as good as rolon . Is ZMR clutch cable so weak?? because, in my previous bikes I hadn't changed the clutch cable for nearly 6 Years and 70k+ km,but my ZMR has just completed one year and 10.5k on the odo...

you can actually get the loose cables... just the inners and get that fixed with the outer cover as a work around from your local mechanics... riding without applying clutch will harm the gearbox and the clutch plates.. this setup i mentioned will cost you some 20-30 rs at max.. this is just a temporary solution bro.. Check in Google Images "cable inner for bikes" thats the setup which you could use as a work around

IIRC, it costs 75 rupees or so. My clutch cable snapped at 5k on the ODO. But, the second one is going strong since. Like all bike parts, it needs periodic maintenance and lubing.
Stock chain and sprocket set lasts anywhere between 18-25k depending upon your riding style. ROLON at max is 30k, so I don't think stock kits are bad.

So, this is for you guys to check for yourself.

The 1st pic is Prajwal cornering with stock MRF tires and the second one is me on PSD!
So, it boils down to riding skills. Stock ain't that bad after all, but yes, it does give you scary thoughts at times.

Ok . I went to the SVC and got the clutch cable for Rs108. Din't take the risk to ride it without clutch..So, got the clutch cable and fixed it my self. Now everything is fine.Am happy now.. .Meanwhile enquired about the warranty extension,But no use...they are saying that, warranty extension plan is available only for zmr's purchased after august.. I had dropped a query to HH regarding this,No replay till now.
