Do you think so? It could be.. but as far as i know whenever my chain got tightened.. the bike was not moving freely.. i have completed 400kms + on this new chain and 300kms+ after the service.. could it still be tight after 300kms of riding..?? but that sound gives a big bike feel

But later managed to switch on bike while moving slowly and change the gear to second. The bike would obviously jump and switch off when I had to stop in traffic. My enquiry is, would the gear box be harmed and to what extent. As ashwin said, upshifts were no problem but downshifts I had to do when rpm was extremely low. What would happen to my gearbox? The mech said once in a while if we do so, it won't harm. Btw, ithe distance I travelled without clutch is 20kms, most of which is highway
Few pages back, even I also had posted the same thing....Initially my ZMR's gear shift went hard and then the clutch cable got cut...Get your clutch cable changed...it's an easy task..

Abhi, you can plonk Splendor's cable for the time being (if Karizma spares are out of stock). They cost 80 odd bucks.
I remember when my clutch cable snapped at 6k on the ODO in the middle of nowhere. I towed the bike for 2 kms and then a roadside mech put Kawasaki Caliber's clutch cable. It worked fine for 4k kms before I put original spares and it's still somewhere in the garage now.
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

          • Hello everybody, my brother bought a new karizma zmr few days ago and is enjoying his ride. Initially the gearbox was too clunky and tight and vibrations were their but all gone after the first service. Hope it serves us well for a long time. I ride a classic 500 and am feeling pretty lucky now to have both these machines in our garage. Attaching some pics below which we took while coming from Palakkad(Kerala) to Bangalore via forest route via nadugani reserve forest(Kerala), Madhumalai Wildlife sanctuary(Tamil Nadu) and Bandipur wildlife sanctuary.(Karnataka). The ZMR proved that its a proper tourer by heart. Sorry for the poor quality photos as it was taken from my cell phone.

I had a problem in my ZMR for cold start....initially on start for 4/5 Km bike engine sound was not normal and rotation fluctuates a lot along with RPM.....now it has been solved..... happened due to SVC persons has not done there work properly in engine during camsaft/valves etc changed...i posted a video of the same here in the thread....not sure are you referring to same post or of another owner post....since youtube is banned in office i need to check the url to post it again...will do in the day....

When i refer to HM engineer about the cold start issue; he too not able to sort out the issue and told me that it will remain as it is...but when they open engine found valve spring broken then replace the parts..it get solved along with other issues...

Interestingly true! But, of all BB kits by RC, the 230cc for Pulsars turned out to be with "least" complaints.
