Its a IRC.. I Forgot the name of the tyres I will check and let you know though.. it cost me 2500/- The grip of these tyres are pretty neat in wet conditions and dry.. atleast til what I noticed.. i will be touring soon to Bhutan (hopefully if everything goes as planned) which is when I will learn more about this tyre.. I changed the stock tyres at 23500kms exact... and i didn't face much issues with them during rain on flat roads... Maybe cos I was used to it.. After Installing the new tyres.. the bike felt bigger.. in the sense the height of the bike increased by atleast half an inch...
can you provide me the details of this tire asap

The 1st pic is Prajwal cornering with stock MRF tires and the second one is me on PSD!
So, it boils down to riding skills. Stock ain't that bad after all, but yes, it does give you scary thoughts at times.
ya the treading at the sides are pretty good in stock but as worrisomebear said i lost confidence when i brought back zmr to straight position and there is no tread at the center so i felt the bike swayed a little bit as there was sand
i feel the treading at the center in stock is better than psd
    just my thoughts

IMO stock is the worst on wet roads. and it looks ugly too on this big body bike. Zapper Q is much much better than Zapper Y

Bro.. I got the IRC Duratour 310S.. 110/90/18... the tyre is not heavy hence there is no loss in Fuel Economy and performance of the bike.. The bike felt a bit taller.. atleast by half an inch i would say.. and the grips are pretty neat in wet conditions.. and cornering.. I was able to do well with the stock ones too.. i didn't have much confidence only during wet conditions..

Bro, I guess you'd visit JC Road for the panniers right? Plenty of tire shops there who stock PSD, Durantour and Michelin.
              Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Yes..Today I got a mail from the SVC as a replay to my query. But when asked with the SVC they are saying it can not be extended since one year is completed.I requested them that it's just 5 days before I completed 1 year.I hate the response of SVC once they say it can't be extended and after completing one year, now they are saying it can be extended..

You can pressurize them now. You have a valid reason for it. They denied in initially and now they're saying it is possible. Shoot a second mail to HMC mentioning the same.

Am buying the same tyre which you get!! Cause you've put so much thought in it, and your decision would be worth it. It'll save me the trouble of researching!! BTW, try jc road. Plenty of compatible tyres from different brands in different shops

                      • Well.. PSD is pretty hot and sexy.. but the life of the tires are not long enough.. even the dealer told me that PSD will not last any longer than 13000 kms and they are not suitable for the Indian Roads... i am pretty happy with the IRC Duratour tire.. gives me enough confidence to even lean all the way upto my footrest touching the ground...

Naaaa, I think the dealer was either ill informed or he exaggerated. I have clocked 5,900 kms (approx) and no way are the tires near their half way mark. I assume they'll hold good for 18-20k kms easily.
But yes, them being soft compound are puncture prone, but I have been lucky. No punctures.

Look up for recommended tires here. These are apart from 110 mm ones mentioned above and are available in both TL and TT types.

Today again the SVC guy called me and asked all the information regarding Bike, purchase date, km on odo, service history etc. He said that, he had called some higher officials and they had asked him to mail the details to check whether it can be extended.also he said, they will replay within tomorrow. So am waiting now for the replay.Hoping everything goes well....Meanwhile,after changing the clutch cable gear shift in my ZMR has become butter smooth.I din't had such a smooth gear shift till today inspite of repeated complaints about it during services.Even after riding the bike for 150 km in hot day with sudden gear changes and a speed of 90-95 with occasional burst's till 115,it responded pretty well .
