Went to Swastik, but they were hell bent on changing the engine oil; that too with Veedol 10w30. I asked them not to change the oil, then they said - "You people put absurd oils in your bike and then bring it with complaints."
Seeing this rude attitude, I took my bike from them and gave to a private mech, but all spares were bought by me from the SVC spares counter (before the brawl).
I guess, 600 was labor and 2700 for parts.

Done with my first service...changed engine oil and my friend forced me to do the teflon coating..now reading teflon coating is really waste in many websites...does it worth for anything? also read somewhere you have to keep it away from dusts is that true? so what i have to do now?

IMO, teflon coating is daylight robbery. Its not xactly any teflon per se, its just wax polish and garnish lol.
So, what you have to do now? Nothing. Don't fall for these tricks further and keep your ride clean.

Use waxpol and car shampoo for cleaning the bike yourself and avoid pouring water directly on the fuel cap and inside the exhaust.

I teflon coated my pulsar and though it was not visible at that time, 3 years later, I could actually see that coat coming off. It was like a plastic mask taken off. So it had to be something. But then this was at a Bajaj SVC in Pondicherry.

Yes,there is something called 'Teflon' coating,which is actually costlier and is provided by reputed brands like Dupont . But these SVC people simply say they are doing Teflon coating but do only wax polish but put the price of teflon coating

. I experienced this in my first service itself. Actually the original teflon coating is priced higher but my SVC guys said they will do the coating for Rs350

,I was confused and when enquired again,they agreed it is just a polish and nothing more. If you are so much interested about teflon coating,get it done in some good paint shop. SVC guys will only do polish to your bike.

^^^ Yup, you may be right. But then I was already cheated big time. I was so psyched up about finally managing to get the Red color ZMR, that I never bothered to get the invoice and check the calculation of the On Road price. When I got it later I realized I paid nearly Rs. 2000 in 'Other Charges' which really shouldn't have been there. Lesson learnt. But some moments in life are more important than money.

its not an oil leak. looks like chain lube spray and its normal.

Has anyone faced an issue where in when you are riding the bike.. at a normal speed.. the bike is almost like off and turns on again?? as if the fuel is missing for a second and the next second fuel is pumped.. I had this situation a couple of times.. kinda scared the hell out of me both the times as I was overtaking during both the situations.. possibilities of misfiring??

This is not an oil leakage bro.. this seems to be the lubrication from the chain which is quite normal.. but get it cleaned so that it doesn't get your chain dusty..

over lubricating the chain can spoil the chain and sprocket life.. Nothing to worry about though

I think I know what you mean. It happens to me when riding at constant speed. I like to think that the bike is reducing fuel consumption.

By the way, I'm getting 43 KMPL average over 17 litres in mostly highway conditions.

Well.. I am not sure.. but this is not at a very high speed.. speed of some 60kmph.. so Not sure if its about fuel consumption but rather some hiccup.. maybe water in tank

gotta get that checked..

My Black Pearl Returned 54kmpl avg on highways

Best was 57kmpl and worse was 52kmpl

at a constant speed of avg 90kmph.. raced here and there..

Yesterday did the service to my bike. Odo around 23450, did not change the oil at service later changed it at home. After draining the oil to the last drop both on centre stand and side stand which lasted for about half an hour I measured the drained oil and it was about 950ml. Is this normal or was my bike running on low oil.

Bad spark plug I guess. though I didn't encounter it till now. Others should shed some light on it.

Also check if on a contact speed and on constant RPM the engine hiccups...if this is so then there is an issue....

misfiring occurs due to faulty spark plug...
