Hi Richu, all these are cosmetic changes more or less, any improvements on the engine side or frame design etc?

I suppose no...the mechanics themselves are blank about the new improvements....but honestly the wiring looks much neater than the initial lot.

No I got the OMR Allotment and chose to have the bike delivered at Adyar Brand Store due to the proximity to my house. I would have advised you to book at both places but since you are already down 2.5 months you might as well wait for another 2 weeks to get your bike from Adayar.

Finished my first service yesterday 500 Kms. Now I can safely take the bike to 70Km. Bike is smoother as you put more kilometers down. Addressed a few niggling problems during the first service

              1) Accelerator Cable was a bit tight when turning the handle bar to the right resulting in the cable getting stuck. Issue was fixed.
              2) Rear Mud Gaurd was scrapping the rear tyre when taking a pillion over humps. Issue was fixed though the method to fix was quite brutal to watch.
              3) Rear Brake Play was adjusted.
4)General Oil Change & Oil Filter replacement. ( HP- Liquid Gun )

              Total Cost - 978 /-

I stilll havent received my bike manual etc from these incompetent guys so I could not update this service on my coupons.
Whole proceess took about 2.5 Hrs.

On a positive note, I was actually pleased with the service staff. They addressed all the issues and the premises is kept really clean.

Hey Revit, generally where do you service your bike in chennai. I live around Porur, does not matter as long as the service is satisfying. Do you get chance to administer the service by staying at the service center next to the bike......just trying to be extra cautious that the beast is properly taken care off .

                Waiting for inputs. Thanks

Hey guys sorry to say this but i am bidding audi to Bull's...
Just dont feel like being part of a brand that treats customers like crap....
I have cancelled my booking after waiting for 6 months and given the run around....
                  To give a brief account...
I wrote emails, tried calling the regional sales manager, and no one responded. In the end the show room guy when asked if he could give me an update says this to me; "IF YOU WANT AN UPDATE COME TO THE SHOWROOM AND GET IT, I CANNOT GIVE ON THE PHONE". This guy just hangs up after that. I go to the showroom, not to fight or anything. I just about had it.. The were as indifferent to a customer as they were to the customers who were in the lobby asking for explanation.... Gave me a blank sheet and asked me to write a letter requesting cancellation and giving the reason.. I have to request for cancellation, how ironic... To cancel the purchase of a product a customer has to request.. I was told come after 10 days and collect the cancellation cheque, just like that my "Request for cancellation" was accepted, how kind of them and now after 10 days I have got my cheque... This company was reborn courtesy of customers who were willing to forgive the numerous flaws in the machine.. I guess they dont care, atleast about the domestic customers.. I don't see too many Western and European gentlemen/women complaining about long waits and sody treatment...

****Just to add, I have booked a KTM 200 and getting delivery of the vehicle next week****Guess I will have to go with a company that treats its customers with some value and respect... That shows in the confidence of individuals who have chosen a machine for it's merit in all aspects rather than just legacy and conquered the Dakar Rally 12 times and counting... To all those hardened and passionate Bull fans, there is no comparison between the two machines. The were built for different purpose and KTM suites mine... ****

Sorry to hear about your experience Rohit...I am also planning to buy a Bullet. But, these kind of stories just make me think again. However KTM is a super choice and I can see a culture of KTM on the rise steadily. You have made a right choice brother, going by your experience Whatever happens happens for good. Have fun with KTM

Yes I would say domestic customers should start asserting their rights and only then we can expect better customer experience.. All the best for whatever choice you make.. I have learnt a lesson, never give a brand blind value, we have to always think as to what are we getting in return for the loyalty and commitment to a brand. A machine is a machine and we all love a brand and the experience a brand delivered to us through a product.. I second your though that other bikes are catching up on the culture of touring and KTM is for sure is one of them and is a front runner in them... There is an increase of travelogues by guys on KTM and that is encouraging....

I give my RE to the OMR A.S.S which is the closest one I suppose. I stayed in the waiting lounge and was able to see the servicing from the window, though you are discourage from being on the actual service area. I was interested to see the oil change and to have a look at the metal scraps etc. but unfortunately couldnt.

This cost includes Oil Filter - 93 Rs + 2.5 Ltrs of Oil - 773 Rs + Consumables ( I assume this is the chain spraying ) 112.36 Rs = Total of 978

So, one has to spend this irrespective of the free service RE gives?

Free service means you don't have to pay labor charges. You will have to pay for the consumables.
