Hey mr richu royce, I have used MRF zapper and i have used pirelli sport demon, i can feel the difference very clearly. I would suggest you to go for pirelli. or michelin or metzeller!

hey guys just changed my DS engine oil to motul 3000 15w-50. Its been 1000kms after a bore change.! and guess what..! i have a significant milage increase from 22+ to 28+. but the tappet noise has significantly increased too.! I have a sight doubt, Will the new TB's front single seat fit on a classic?

Thank you for the reply...but as I said...getting a tyre for the Classic in Kerala is really difficult...finding an MRF was really difficult. ..so you can imagine the possibility of finding a Pirelli or Metzeler.
Sad to say but I feel Kerala isn't really a motorcycle friendly place...its so hard to find things around here..:banghead:

That's strange man i always thought that south india is far more passionate and educated state in bikes than northern india, becuase of which spares and other parts of the bike should be easily availabel

So, after the long wait - my DS 500 reached my garage. The bike feels awesome though I am not getting much time to ride now
I got my bike delivered from Royal Enfield Brand store, Edapally, Cochin. As many know - the delivery experience at Royal Enfield store was not good. The sales-guys treat us like as if they are delivering the bike for free. There are lot to mention about the delivery experience which I would be posting soon with my ownership report.
One thing I need to get noe is a diamond crash bar for the bull! The store didn't have one in stock. Can anyone from Cochin help me to get one? I live near Kakkanad, Cochin. Help appreciated. Thank You!

Engine oil selection for my Royal Enfield Classic 500

Hellow my Dear Riders.
I own a 2013 Maroon C5 clocked 9000 kms on it till now. As all know the company suggests motul 15W50 oil for all RE's. As far I had been following the same oil to be used.
I have completed all my free services and now was thinking can I use castrol 20W50 for my bike as one of my friend suggested so. I have also noticed that after a long ride above 100+ km nonstop the oil tends to become thin due to heat which increases the clattering sound from the engine gear shifts also seem a bit hard. But as the engine cools the sound goes off. My bike I'd in absolute great conditions great mileage pickup no problem yet. But I road my friends bike for a long distance his bike has very less clattering sound he uses castrol 20W50. I have also done oil change and service 1100 kms back. Still got many kms to change oil. What do you guys suggest should I shift to castrol 20W50? Or stick with motul 15W50. "And also after how many kms is tappet setting required to be done" And yes there's no other problem with my bike only I think is the oil tends thin if you have any advice please reply as I don't compromise with my bike. Waiting for your advice

Hey Guys, I have been planning to go on a small 3 day trip to yercaud, kolli hills and salem from chennai. Are there any sight seeing places on the way or near by? Guide me for my travel and sight seeing please.. What are all the maintainence to be done for my DS before starting.. and stuff like that. And oh.. I'm starting on 15th august, since i'm getting a 3 day holiday.! Cheers guys! Ride ON!!
