Costs wise that's right for the company but if they r boring a 350 to a 400 is it OK then I should say life wise 350s engine is more durable than my500

Now i have a new House.with lots of parking....Car, bike, cat dog horse..you name it..it can be parked here......
If its a DS500 then good....or i have a hunch that 2014 end or 2015 we could be looking into a new cruiser based on the CGT frame with a 400cc motor.

you have gone wild with the buying spree... i envy you...
now that you have tasted bull and cbr both.. the finest riding and touring machine and have sold why bull again... why not a ninja650.. see i am returning to the same point after 1 year again

oh i see a gem 320d.. too.. am guessing that's yours too...

ya it has turned a full circle ...though my first ride was dads Discover and his LML, out of the both the LML was the better one (both preserved)....lol.
Coming to "why bull again?" i dont know really why but ill try to explain.
CBR-its as powerful as the bullet 500 but when you twist the throttle ....there is different feeling altogether....its like when you were a kid and you sit on the tank holding the handlebar and your dad twits the throttle and that gets a smile on you....thats the exact feeling i get on a bull....CBR , Ninja, Duke and others are very credible bike but i never got the same feeling as the bull..i dont need CNWK of CC to make me happy...hearing a bullet idle would make me far more happy.....i think i am obsessed with bull now.
N650 is a cool bike to have but ...not anymore....its gona b a bull....but which one is the question. DS500 or CGT.
and ya one more good new..just got a Purple Activa (Gift)(as i said no more honda ever for me) (not 125). now i can post a Vespa V/s Activa drag video....and see activa lose and feel even more happy.
off topic,,...saw a guy pushing his Duke 390 on the highway today, felt sorry for him, 2L down the drain. wanted to stop and ask him but i was late for work.
as of now its CGT 75% and DS 25%.

all good.. did ladakh this year and the cbr ruled the roads

i can completely understand with the feeling however its the mad torque that makes the heart melt for that feel..
i am sure finances aint the issue here.. why not a Harley street or iron...for that matter or a hyosung gv650... i am sure they will be a better upgrade from the bull for a torque hungry rider.... buying another bull... why not try something diffrent...

atleast test ride all these before juggling between the entry level players.. trust me.. you'd not go back to bull...

finance is not an issue but i am give 2L limit..not more than that...so you see everytime a buy a bike it close to 2l not more than that.
GV650 is quite a looker....ill buy it simply on looks. looks are subjective but GV looks way way better than street 750.
so because of my 2L limit i cant buy a bigger bike...just yesterday i saw the Indian Scout.....looks awesome. if it were a guy i would marry it. lol
though its weight of 450 KGS...killed it for me.
HD's, triumph's and all big boys have to wait till 2016 when i qualify for 5L limit for bikes. till then i love bullets and i would still love it if i got a HD too.
OT though but i am about to give you an absurd suggestion... you have tried and tested almost all rides in and around 2L....
how bout a pre owned Ninja 250 for around 1.5... and you can happily redline it till 2016 and move to a bigger plant... think bout it..
its one ride you should give a chance... its a jap marvel... yeah not torque as bull but think of chic on a green ninjette..

did ladakh with a already 12,000 km dunlop tuffgrip and IRC front.. and they took all the hell and came out smiling.. not even a psi drop or air pressure in 20 days..

mods and folks sorry for the OT in the bull thread...

Ya even i thought of a N250 or pre owned GT650 , but i am a lil bit skeptical about buying 2nds. moreover i wont b allowed to have a 2nds bike :-(
I did ride a CGT and its really a gem to ride, maybe as i had a CBR the riding position was not a problem for me.it didnt feel different from CBR in the riding posture but the torque was awesome...the test ride made me book one but not sure still if i want a DS or a CGT.

            Hi barkha
I think you should go with CGT which is the most advanced RE ever. On top of it you'll get class leading(among RE's) power and torque with very good handling, looks, build quality, tubeless tires, very capable chassis and that gorgeous red color.

and...are you sure its tubeless Tyre? the rim has spokes.....there website doesnt say anything also about them being tubeless.
99% sure and one thing more, its almost vibration free till 105kmph

After which point classic 350 and classic 500 starts vibrating...??? I have fair bit of experience with old thunderbird and electra but not with classic. I feel classic series and new thunderbird must be less viby in nature as they are newer than electra and old thunderbird with improved parts....

This Tb500 engine is an straight pick from classic 500 so it's no different from CL500, Tb500 can run 80 or 90km/h all day long with no trouble, but out on highway if you want to go little faster, like in the speed ranges of 120 or 130 one has to downshift, and the bike will come to these still magical figures of 120km/h and will run easily(with a bit of vibes), the engine redlines at 5500rpm, below 3500rpm one feels lackness of low end torque so if you have to overtake on a highway you have to downshift to climb the revs, and with a taller fifth gear one has to play with gears to keep the bike in powerband.

Ideal cruising speed of 350 is between 60 to 70 km/h after that you will start feeling uneasy, one of my friend has even changed the stock crank of his classic 350 with an heavier crank to overcome these vibes, the initial acceleration has gone low but the top end has improved and bike engine doesn't vibrates as it used to vibrate before this conversion.

Actually I am also considering thunderbird 350 and classic 350 as my next bike but I am confused because of niggling and quality issues with bullets in comparison to ZMR and P220.

Hi Guys have shifted permanently to home town Ratnagiri from Pune and no RE service center nor an expert and from last few days some chick chick sound is coming from the front wheel of my bike. Above 30kms/hr. The disc pads have not been changed since purchased bike as they seem to be in good conditions, no fork oil leaking clean disc no scratching on disc. Disc oil level OK. So what is the chick chick sound. Covered 9500 km yet. Is it the bearing, disc pad or fork oil has gone old please suggest as no experts in Ratnagiri. Waiting for your replies. Take Care.

Check your speedometer/odometer cable. The screw often comes loose at the wheel or below your meter and makes that sound when the cable is rotating.

Claais cruser, Your bike has been running on motul for 9000 kms.. your engine might have been set for motul itself. If you change to some other oil.. you might experience some additional noise or vibration or something like that. I used liquid Gun for 10k kms and changed to motul after that... i experienced increase in vibration and noise. Pickup was also slightly reduced. So i changed it back to liquid gun and rode.. it was normal. So again i changed it to motul in 14k kms.. Vibration and noise appeared again. Now will change back to liquid gun on next oil change.. which is due in next 5ookms. BTW i own a DS500. Hope this helps.
