prior to my purchase(R15), i tried a new 220(1250kms) & one R15, and i really found the 220 struggling, compared to my cousin's 220, his bike is still flying(25000kms+) but the newer 220 struggled a hell lot, when i had rode his motorcycle it had barely done 170kms, can you guys suggest at what is wrong and while downshifting the rear simply locks up.whereas post 7k on the R15, it almost stood up, and engine braking was fantastic... forget the R15 over here, but i am baffled at the way the 220 performed compared to my cousin's m-cycle,

Bajaj Probiking what a bloody waste!
Left my bike for 4 days at the PBK get 2 of my long standing issues resolved. Only to be told that the bike is 'Old' @ 33K and nothing can be done about it.
Cud'nt control myself and blew my top at the mech, then after 4 days he finally gets a brainwave that he shud ask his senior about my issue. Senior gets to work and finds the route cause in 15 mins. Now I have to leave the bike with them for 3-4 days again as they need to open the engine...AGAIN!
A bearing somewhere is in suspect. And down goes my weekend ride plans!
After these many kms I realized that its not the bike that is unreliable. Its the pathetic service that we get along with that make it unreliable. But the sad thing is the story of pathetic servicing is same everywhere with every manufacturer. Its only certain individual SVC's that actually have a dedicated lot of mechs!Last edited by Praful; 03-26-2009, 11:02 AM._________________________

) as well as a happy news (ur issues are getting resolved---if they really are
).
Oh... you came to know this after 33k kms
... I had come to know this at 600kms
after my first servicing, when my tank to Fi injector pipe hose clip was not put properly and petrol started leaking from there... and finally that hose slipped and bike stopped... and petrol all over the engine area. I had to literally tow the bike with the help of a friend for 20-odd kms... now hows that for a new P220 owner??

What kind of issues were you facing..?
The only trouble ive had getting my dad's P150 DTS-i v1 serviced was the cost. Honda charged roughly 350 per service whereas Bajaj's bill on an average came to 700 bucks
That said, i must point out that both the bikes never had any major issues. Tried Khivraj on Kasturba road..?
IIRC, Khivraj Bajaj is a PBK right..?I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.
