        • Was getting annoying sqeeking sound from rear disc though disc pad was changed 2 weeks ago on 5th servicing. Went to Okhla PBK. They cleaned the pads throughly & now sound is gone.

          All,
While changing disc pad ask the service cetntre guys to thoroughly clean every part of the disc assembly. Apparently while putting new disc pads, the PBK Kirti Nagar didnt clean it properly & some the dust were left which lead to this problem.
Have a good look at your disc if there are lines showing up on the discs that means there is some problem. get it checked.

Just wanted to share even though most of you ppl must be knowing it

You don't really have to buy such things from showrooms... unless you wanna get ripped off! Try different auto shops... you will get it much cheaper... esp. if you bargain well.

I dont have a hamara Bajaj! But the 1st time I bought one, from the H Honda showroom, it cost me Rs. 250 if I remember correct. Another auto shop laster quoted Rs. 150... and another Rs. 110!! Material is the same (parachute kinda).

Just see if it fits well before buying and check the stiching, etc. before you buy.

175 in Delhi. Labour Extra. Rear Disc costs 750

Check the two pins (dont know the exact tech word) which can be seen from top of the rear disc (Rear disc is not covered as compared to front). If those two pins are too close its time to change the disc pad

Raccoon: You are right. In Delhi too I enquired & it was prob the same range quoted by them. But in the market sans the Bjaja logo & stuff it will costb you 150.

I keep my babe covered whenever I am in office. Not a single day missed since 19 Sep08 (ok..m,ay be 1 or 2). Much less dust than other's , keeps harsh sun rays at bay, keeps it clean when it rains for just a short period of time as I park my bike under tree & after rain all the dust settled in leaves gets washed & on tries to be my babes skin

                        No such luck

                          • So the covers they sell at Bajaj showrooms have a Bajaj logo and all?? Thats even worse... in the sense, covers are quite prone to getting stolen... and anything more catchy will attract more attention. In fact I look for the most sad looking run down cover... but the parachute material covers are most convenient as they dont make noise and can be folded into a compact shape.... covers made of other kinda plastics cant...
