They are cheaper now.... check out the latest prices....

Try and buy a garage cover from a spare parts local shop made for Bullets or Karizma.... they fit P220 properly.

I have been using garage cover from day 1.... not one day did I forget to cover my bike with a cover.... and that resulted in my bike not attracting any mentally wreck ppl coming and touching it or removing the stickers or any sick thing. And there is less dust on the bike.

                          • The pulsar showed me its ugly unreliable face again!

And again in the form of an electrical issue!

Was riding thru the city and Bang the bike just stalled, I thought its one of those funny tuning issue so I just thumbed the starter again. Nothing! The thing did not crank at all, it was only then that I glanced at the display and I shocked to see it -Blank- ! Pulled over the bike to side and just tried to reboot it after switching it on and off 2-3 times....Again Nothing!

I knew a fuse had blown, so I pulled out the seat to check the under seat 10A fuse. That was fine! Next checked the 15A fuse next to the battery, that had blown!
Next I put in the backup fuse and the bike just came back to life. But wait the pulsar had not yet finished its nakhra's! I switched on the fuel pump and Bang! this fuse also blew.

With no other option left I called up my PBK mech who came promptly within 15 mins, he tried to make a temp. direct connection which did not work! So we towed the bike back to PBK.

After spending one whole day the cause for the short was found exactly under the pillion seat where the wire bundle that has the connector for the diagnostic tool and the 10A fuse was rubbing against the pillion seats mount had sheared off the external covering and the wire was naked and exposed to the frame of the bike. That was causing the shorting of the circuit and blowing of the fuse. Damn!

As a cautionary note, I would advise you guys to put in a additional layer of tape on the wire set that runs below the pilion seat and has the connector for the diagnostic tool. This is required as that wire is prone to be moved for connecting the diagnostic tool, checking the fuse etc!

OMG!! this was really unfortunate. If it had happened in late evening, then??? Very sad episode

Sharing one annoying problem of my own. That squeeking sound just increased. I had posted about the problem here. Been to PBK but that didn't seem to help but aggravated. It is so embarassing on the roads

Sad to hear that !!... So the P220 showed us its one more black side.... and again the electricals. It was fortunate that this happened in the city and not on a long ride... else you would have to .......

Will check out my bike's fuse and double tape the wires under the seat.
