Exactly.Bajaj will never do a bike in yellow.

Also after chaing the fuel check CO% atleast 2 weekends if it remians constant then the fuel is the best.

With the footrest vibes if possible try Motul chain lube, its amazing i tried it this wekend and then did 100kms ride the best feature is 90% nose reduction from the chain, also the bike feels super smooth at certain revs where initially it felt wild.

The 220 is very sensitive to fuel and there is a world of difference in the feel of bike between good/bad fuel. If possible drain this fuel completely and switch back to your previous tried and test fuel/bunk.

About the spark plugs, if you are using stock ones then they definitely need a change past the 10K mark. Otherwise they are usually cleaned at every service, so it might not necessarily be a issue with them.

If the fuel pump malfunctions, either the bike won't start or even if it does, it will be gasping to move ahead. So its not an issue with the pump. Ditto for the clutch plates, they would be pretty at 6.4K kms, unless you are in wheelies and hard drags etc.

I am guessing that you are more or less a sedate rider, so at 6.4K the balancer shaft should not have gone out of balance. (Mine is still fine at 24K)

LHS footpeg vibes are usually associated with a dry/slack/overtight chain, inspect your chain to see if its lubed and has the correct amount of slackness.
hmm... i did have a hunch it can be due to the fuel.... but then again, the fuel is in the bike since a month and problems started only 4-5 days ago!

Still, i will tank up with Xtrapremium tomorrow itself! Need to check CO too.. its been more than a cpl of months and 1500kms since last checked.

The chain is pretty much lubed with sae90 oil. And previously, it was very tight.. got it loosened a bit and now it seems perfect. Still vibes are there only when engine is harsh.. as if something frm inside the engine is the source.

And yeah.. m a sedate rider.. no wheeies or burnouts or any such stuff!

And if you find that there is a clattering noise from the engine then only go for tappet repairing. Or no need of it.

So, i think i should be ruling out the tappets and balancer shaft thing.. still will get it checked at pbk & hear what they have to say about it.

And again wierdly, your ride-fast-get-smoothness theory worked pretty well until now for me... but when i went for a ride day before, it was so harsh in lower speeds it gave a feeling something would burst open if i went any faster. It was that bad. Had to literally stamp on the gear lever. And it made a very frightening sound everytime.. a loud one! And seemed like no power from the engine at all... in short, the bike completely altered its character.

And yeah.. some more surprises... today when i went out for a ride, all the above conditions were constnt. Same fuel... nothing was touched. And the problem was gone on its own. Wierd. Although its not as smooth as before, but still a lot better for sure! Wonder why this happens....
Glad that xBHP is back... and glad to be back on xBHP!!! :D

                • Why does the P220 need so many CO tests? How does it affect the performance? Is it to be checked with every FI vehicle?

We are a pathetic lot aren't we? The most technologically advanced bike during its launch and yet, we spend all our time when we aren't riding finding excuses for the er.. "mood swings" of our bikes!

Doesn't seem like you care either! We all love our bikes!

Oh btw, I've done 14k odd kms. Checked my rear suspension. The air pressure in the Nitrox dampers was 0 psi No wonder she was getting banged up all the while..

The NoX pressure needs to be checked every 10K kms, mine was at 0psi too @ 10K.

PS: This aint the most technologically advanced bike in the market...

Oh okay, thanks for the reply though. How many kms. before those need a refill, anyway? 10,000 kms., is it? I have checked the manual but couldn't find any mention of the refill, or I guess I need to look at it more carefully the next time!

If u cant get the refill, better chuck it off and get the V1's rear shocks. they are a lot better and are atleast maintenance free!

P.S : Am not sure if the height etc. are the same.
