      2. After using the chain clean how many minutes to be waited before sprayin the lube ?
      3. after spraying the lube should the chain be washed with water or shld the lube be sprayed directly ?

Many of the qns might be lame here but will surely help me

Do the water servicing, spray the de-greaser if u have and leave for 10-15 minutes. Clean the chain with soft cloth. it should be shining clean by now. spray the lube... get set go...

place a paper / cloth between the chain & the wheel so that the sprays do not sprinkle on the alloy / tyre.

              Steps
              1. Clean the bike (at the car wash)
              2. Spray the chain cleaner...use a soft bristle brush to dislodge grime...wait for 5 minutes and spray the chain cleaner again
              3. Wait for 5 minutes, clean the chain with cotton wool/soft cloth
              4. Chain should be clean by now...(DO NOT RIDE IN THIS CONDITION)
              5. You can prefer to wait for another 10 minutes so that the volatile cleaner evaporates completely...
              6. Spray the Lube evenly...rotate the wheel for at least 20 revolutions gently by hand.
              7. Inspect for dry patches on the chain...mostly the inner side...repeat spray if needed.

              • Lol no offense here....but has bajaj started producing perfect 220's that people are actually sitting here page over page and discussing on how to clean the chains??
Again that was a honest question
A journey half way around the world and now, one foot and one arm over a R6!!!

Seems so.. its been good a year and half since the P220 was launched.. the niggles can be expected to be ironed out.

BTW I need to get my Chain and Sprocket set replaced too... I have literally abused them with 0% maintenance from my side. Won't repeat the same mistake next time..

                    • Hello All,
Posting after a long time. Met with an accident. So my Fairing got bended. Got loads of sctratches. But bike was running absolutely fine. So contacted the insurance firm. Took my bike to Bagga Link Karol Bagh. Got my bike on Tuesday. Now Faring Changed, RHS Grab Rail Changed, Handle bar weight changed & other small replacements. Oh, yes. My tank had got small dents which was removed (neat job). total cost 4100/-. So Insurance may reimburse me arnd 2.5ks atleast. But am a happy man now. Was very depressed all these times without my bike.

1 problem I am facing is that, sometimes my self doesnt seems to work. Like after turning the keys, letting the self check done., when i push the electric start button, it would just make a small noice but wont start. Then turning off the ignition & doing it again will do the trick. Dont know why its happening. No warning light on, nothing. K Bagh PBK said that the terminals were loose. Wasn't the case. Have to take it to Okhla PBK station.
                      Any input on this?

                      • @RX: Good to see you are back, and your bike is also running in pristine condition. As for the self starter problem, well, I am not so sure. This kind of problem used to happen with my P180 Classic and it was almost always due to the battery running out of charge or going dry (except once when I got to know that the starter motor had gone kaput) ! Now, I am not sure whether the P-220 is having a similar kind of a problem, but it would help just in case you check your battery's "level".

Yes, I hear the Kirti Nagar service station is the best among the three Probiking service centers we have in Delhi.. Will need to go and pay a visit there for the next service.

Check the connections of the wire to the battery sometimes even slightest disrupt can cause the battery indicator to blink.
                                Tighten it if loose.
