How much the sticker set costs?? and can I install something like autocop in my bike???
Sad to know that. but these Scratchers, what can one do about them?

ok, You can get one type of high quality alarm system installed from TVS Showroom Stores ... It is for Apache, but you can install in any self start bike ... Costs about 1700 /- ... I did not install it due to cost reason, I got a Chinese made installed & it's working fine till now, but tamper sensitivity is low.

Regarding Stickers, I found the "front" one missing from my P180 & got another for Rs. 30 ... I enquired about Side Stickers, and the news was negative ... No Side Stickers were available seperately ... They said it came with the Fuel Tank only.

but they maybe available now, so check your Probiking showroom out ... Take Care.

Will the warranty be void if I get the alarm system fitted on my bike??

Yes, the warranty would surely be void if you do any kind of modifications to the machine and installation of a security system would be deemed as a "modification", hence void warranty.

          yeah!
sure any tempering with bikes electrical wiring will avoid warranty
n it will affect the reliability in long run....

coz the road side/after marker kits need cutting of wiring hence leave huge scope of malfunction(i've faced in my discover)

n as of the sticker/ baging (or wat ever itz called)
you can get it on PBK store fo around 1600 bucks

n fo itz security u can apply feviquick around itz edges
all info. of baging contrasty a post on bikeindia.in

          best of luck

Plz dnt even think about it.

Before the site crashed there was a post by MG in which Bajaj officials cleared a lot of doubts about the 220. my request to MG is to post it again if he still has the material with him. it was really informative and would help a lot of new owners.

the thing is to fit an alarm system you need to tamper with the wiring which is not advisable in the case of 220 because with so many sensors on board any modification to the wiring has to be done with extreme caution and may result in electronic failure.

bajaj doesnt advice aftermarket alarm system for 220.

                  what to do then!!

Simple.. Do not play around with the electronics of the bike..

Why risk draining the battery as well..??

                  • I'm using the alarm system namely as BLACK CAT...and bajaj people themselves installed it at their showroom...So, there is no void of warranty and about the electrical issues and battery drain...I'm using since 18months 17000kms...never faced any kind of problem

AFAIK..bajaj is selling only 200/220 sticker for rs.80/-each
while the whole PULSAR set for tank cost around 1500approxx..
                    its all about CC...

trust me you dont wanna do that, my personal experience I did that for tank scratch pad and it left hard smudges on the tank and I regret that till date.

Go for a routine check , mine crossed 20000 kms and never faced such techno problem.
You better should check it out in bajaj service station for avoiding future trouble.

                            • hey guys!

something happened to my bike! Over just a week, its become so so harsh, i dont feel like riding it!

Cant understand suddenly in 2-3 days time what could have gone wrong? Gears have become hard as hell.. engine makes lots of stressful sounds.. even at 4k rpm it seems to struggle... absolute power loss too! Oil is Motul 300v (1500 kms old) Just switched from Xtrapremium to HP unleaded.. can this be the cause? Or the sparkies need cleaning? or fuel pump? Or the ususal.. CO% is screwed? Or clutch plates? (just 6400 kms)

Also, at times, i feel engine is harsh (As said above) and can feel tiny vibrations in LHS footrest (only). Is this in any way associated with that balancer shaft thing?

                              Please help

P.S. What are tappets? Can it be the reason for my problem? How to judge/find out if they are not functioning properly? What makes this problem arise?

First of all do the balancer shaft overloading. It definitely helps man! In my bike it did! Also go for some long rides with bike stretched to 70-80 speeds. I guess it helps to smoothen the engine a bit!

And if you find that there is a clattering noise from the engine then only go for tappet repairing. Or no need of it.
