  • One more question......Does changing the rear suspension from soft to hard lift your bike or does it compresses the spring...??

      Ok that sounds like CO setting. It is done on every P220. I guess CO has some relation to acceleration.

      I flushed out my engine oil & refilled it without the NANO energizer which the PBK recommends. This is actually not recommended by Bajaj but the dealers. Do not go for any additives. I was enlightended through this thread only

        Why would the PBK guys at different places recommend different make of the same thing......I mean Nano for you....Bardhl for me.....||Personal Profits I suppose||

              hey tell me what is the speed in 5th gear @4000rpm
              it is 53 or 54 or 57 or sumthng other..?
              and what is the speed of 5th gear @ redline indicator...120kmph 123kmph or 124kmphim in trouble

              • in 5th gear at redline i was at 129kmph, thats the maximum i went so far, it struggles a lot to go beyond the redline that is 9000 rpm. havent chkd at 4000RPM bt in 5th gear at 6000RPM its at 83kmph

                      mine is 22500km above...clutch plates not yet change..so that is issue for top end.....means mine redline @121kmph

                      • I will write a second review of my Pulsar 220 after the 3rd service at 5000 kms. Right now my bikes at 4700 kms. The bike is 3 months old. Have a lott to write, some good some bad.

                          coz i heard bajaj is planning a newer 220 soon
                          so anyone has any idea on it(ie. the new things which may be incorporated)?
                          i will buy a bike in may-june
                          also what is the top end speed of this bike?

                                1. Ok, don't bother yourself too much about it. As the problem is fixed. Next time you have a prob, then try and see where exactly is this carbon thing!

                                2. That guy has connected the diagnostic tool to set the CO on your bike! Thats what was affecting ur acceleration!

                                3. Do Not use that Bardhal thing. Once your bike completes 5K kms, move to better engine oil. That will be all thats needed!

                                17 eh? Wat about your license bro? I hope you know and understand xBhp does not promote underage riding!!!

                                Changing the suspension to hard does not increase/decrease anything, it just adjust the spring pre-load. i.e. its compression rate. Basically in simple english, a stiffer spring will compress lesser!

                                From where ever you heard that, please note that BS. Bajaj hasn't officially anywhere mentioned about plans of upgrading the 220. So until there is any concrete news about this...don't bet your horses on it.

                                TopSpeed as per the manual is 135 Kmph for a 65Kg rider. I weigh 80kgs, but I've hit 135Kmph on the speedo. People have even touch 144-145Kmph on this bike. Its not fixed for every 220...some just manage 130Kmph.
