        • Ok there i was on the red signal on the western express highway bandra going towards andheri at 8 in the morning. The signal turns green and in less than 4 seconds i am above 60kmph and pushing real hard whn i see a Yamaha R15 just behind me, closing in, i push my 220 even harder and maintain the lead, but the Yamaha R15 would never go out of sight he was right there behind me, givin me a tough fight, until the next signal where the Yamahas superior handling overtoook my P220. And there it was questions in my mind, asking for answers, how in the hell can a 150cc bike make a 220cc bike struggle to stay ahead. Whats the point in buying a 220cc bike whn the same performance can be achived from a 150cc bike. The yamaha R15 looked far superior than my P220 in every which way i looked and i was wondering, did i make a mistake by goin for the Pulsar220, and before i went into an abyss looking for answers i said to myself, Hey dosnt the Yamaha cost 25000 Rs more than the Pulsar220. Well even if the R15 had the same performance as that of the P220, it still cost a lot more than the P220. Well i said to myself the Yamaha r15 and the Pulsar220 are almost similar in performance but i am driving a bike thats 25K cheaper, well i did the right thing goin for the P220, with a smile on my face i pulled the accelerator and zoomed past everyone else.

Rs 1350 a pair. Direct fit. You'd need the pair. Blinding light to on-comers and awesome light to you. Pls check in JC road or callup Osram regional office from their website.

            @vishy123

Nice little post there.... the P220 is a bit faster than the R15 in straight line. Yes, the R15 doesn't let the P220 go our of sight unless it is on the sixth cog.

            • Finally, Got Ma Bike Serviced Yesterday....Was the Beast's First Service.... nd now the Bast is as fresh as new.....

              Three questions regarding the service....

              1. The Guy There told us that "Bhai Carbon jyada ho gaya hain bike mein, normal bike se kaafi jyada hain" ....wt did he really mean by this.....the carbon on the battery or somethin else??

              2. The Guy also told us that "bike ke pickup mar gai hain" he adjusted something and got it back fine.....Now the second question.....what affects the pickup of a bike??? Is it the riding style or something...???

              3. The Guys at the PBK (Meerut) gave me an engine oil supplement....Namely "Bardahl Oil Supplement" Should I use it???

                1. You better ask him what he meant by "Jyada Carbon". I hope he's not trying to clean your throttle body!!!

                2. Did you see him adjust that 'something'?

                3. Please don't use that engine oil supplement!

Yes its 1350/- for the pair, one for the low beam one for the high beam!

And what's this dim/dip you are talking about the bulbs? Both the bulbs work at the same two states i.e. ON or OFF!

nope.. what i meant to say was that.. the upper bulb is actually for 'dip' right.. so if i use the new osram h7 (for top & bottom),
when i switch on the dip.. the bulb(osram h7) actually works in dim, isnt it..??

There are 2 H7 bulbs on the 220. One for Low beam and the other for high beam.

When you use the pass switch, the Low beam, shuts off and the high beams turns on!

                        So no issues at all!

i guess, im not able to put across my doubt.. anyways, let me give it a last try..

each h7 bulb has 2 working states
                          i) dim state
                          ii) dip state.

so when i use 2 h7 bulbs in d 220.. both the bulbs have to work only in either dim state or dip state when either of em are fired.. right..?????

                          • Just replace dim and dip with OFF and ON as the working states and you'll have your answer!

Or if this still further is confusing....

Just go for the bulbs.....its a direct replacement. No issues at all!
