        Hi,
Posted this info on P220 thread. Applicable to P220 ofcrs. So here it is...

Went on a short trip to Murthal & Kurukshetra yesterday. While returning back, stopped at Petrol Station. Elect starter wont work. Just a 'khut' sound. Tried for 15 mnts. No solution. Asked the petrol attendant to push the bike. Bike started at 2nd gear. Then didnt stopped the engine untill i reached my Home then to PBK Okhla. Relay malfunctioned. They replaced it with Avenger's. Working fine now. I thing I was told. Whenever this problem, just open the Battery side panel, remove the rubber cover from the two nodes & just short the two nodes (nuts) with a metal rod, screw driver which will complete the connection & whola!!! Bike will come into life
        Useful info, thought of sharing
That is a great input dude... thanks for sharing that one...

What is the issue you are facing that they are unable to resolve?

I've actually had a pretty good experience with them towards my last few services.
A typical example on this... i had a fall and after that i was hearing a nut sound from the fairing whenever i drop into a small ditch or ramp over a speed breaker. i took my bike to the Chennai pro-biking guys to check this sound.

First time they tightened the bolts and mirrors in the fairing and asked me to take the vehicle telling me the sound will not come again...

but it did not happen the sound came as soon as i got my vehicle into the first speed breaker, then i took it back again few days later for my regular service and this time (Second time) i insisted on this issue and told them that this nut sound did not resolve yet and there were no other complaints other than this. This time i sat there in the pro-biking itself to notice whether these guys are actually checking the issue or not ( i wasted my entire day waiting there to check this )
and to my surprise these guys did'nt even touch the fairing and gave me the bike back after service. I controlled my anger and asked them to check the fairing issue and they took it inside and gave me back the bike.
this time (third time) i asked them to take my bike for a test ride & try on some pot holes, so that they can hear that annoying noice. Adding fuel to my anger they told me that they did not hear any sound at all after taking it for a test ride...

this time (fourth time) i was little harsh to them and asked them to check the issue again and i myself went to their service bay and checked the issue with them and found that the right side clamp was broken and the issue re-solved after removing the broken clamp...

PS: This is just a single instance.

                  • Ok Guys!! You people are having bad time with your PBKs. But I can assure one thing, in Delhi I get my bike serviced from Okhla PBK. They are very good. They sure try to rectify the problem no matter how much time it takes. This should have been the case across India. This is bad news . You should take up with the Bajaj Area Service Managers.

                      1. Its a Universal truth that foam is the best when it comes to filtering. Don't believe me, use google judiciously!

do you mean just filtering or the overall performance?
i tried google but couldn't get any satisfactory answer. can you share some link...

He means filtering. Foam filter is THE BEST as far as filtering out the dust is concerned.

In the case of filtering alone, the foam scores over the KnN type filters.

You see your tool kit, there is a tool which is of J shape(at the top))(the one which you think is of no use)
Use that on the shockers(upper part of the shockers)
                                its all about CC...
