If you are having constant electrical issues then you can consider replacing the wiring harness, else its OK!

Same boat dude.. Bike is now 4.5 years old and 88K! My hopes are on the bigger duke for now.
So which rubber do you suggest ?? I want good grip...

Currently there isn't any electrical problem, so I'll pass it then...

i'd suggest Mrf Zapper Vyde 120/80-17 its got really good grip on tarmac and hugs the road as the tarmac is its gf and excellent cornering ability plus great life(but lesser than zapper c i guess) (my personal experience)

Zapper Vyde is available in Bangalore.

You need a proper service done, there could be a lot of things that could cause the issue. When did you change your plugs/fuel&air filters/chain sprocket last?

Listing options I know, so we can come to conclusion faster :

            For Front:
Zapper Fx: Good grip (Is it easily available?)
            Wildfire: Ideal (Not easily available)
            Zapper Q: Okish grip
            Michelin? : No Clue
            PSD :

            For Rear:
            SIRAC: Ideal (Not available)
            MRF Vyde: Good Grip overall
            PSD: Good dry grip

Add other options too if they r worth picking up...

            • ^^ I will prefer the Zapper FY/FY01 over the FX. My experience with the FX was not good, and I rate the PSD as better tyre overall! But not worth the money you for them.

There is another options for front the Pirelli MT75. But after my bitter experience with PSD I am not too keen on the MT75

              • Praful bhai, I would recommend the R15 v2 front zapper. It does a more than decent job on the R, so it should be worth the money paid.

                  • I have got CEAT Vertigo (The on-off roader type). Tyre is sturdy as I haven't had any puncture (more than 8 months old of daily avg ride of 50 kms). In turns, it doesn't hold & I constantly get fish tail experience and it's become a habit now for me

You use it on front or rear? I am using it on rear for past 8K KMs no fish tailing yet

rear. Front is MRF. Need to get it changed. Will stick to MRF only.

Exactly. For some reason I always love the stock MRF's stickiness! Or is it

                          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                          THE END

Looking for options apart from MRF, coz they are just about OK!

Go to temple, break a coconut before start the hunt. And remember if you get one tyre, send it to Bangalore. If you get 2, send first one to Bangalore and keep the second one for yourself!

                            • I am using a Vertigo Sport. Been using it for the last 8k kms. Been very good bang for the buck.

Its much better than the stock MRF Zapper, both for cornering and off roading. I also quite enjoy the fishtailing Since it has a much rounder profile than the Stock it is much easier to lean. Especially in the wet. And I picked it up for just 1900 bucks!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
