    Hello!

I'm considering to replace the entire front fairing with new parts and need help:

Parts 7, 8 and 9 are pieces of adhesive foam/sponge that are stuck on to the fibre body to reduce rattling. I've got these parts.

    1) Can anyone please help on how to use them? Can't understand this diagram.
    2) Does anyone have these foam pieces installed on their bike? Could you please post a picture how it is installed?
    --------------

    3) Any reviews of buying parts from Safex Bikes? Are they reliable and genuine?
    4) Are there any (brand new) fairings out there which have Hero Honda (Not Hero)stickers on them? Do Zadon fairings have HHonda stickers?

    Thanks in advance!

Tried half a turn both ways and the experience is similar
      1. Dont mess with the pilot, keep at the standard setting as it only affects the idle circuit and has minimal impact on overall throttle response for a stock motorcycle. Plus not to mention the pain you'd go through if you wear out the threads on the carb.

      2. As for an alternate carb, I've run on the VM28 costs 1.3k for a brand new one and the ZMA's main jet is a direct fit pilot you can get for less than 50 per piece from any RE spare store. This would just enable to bike to run and it isnt are forgiving as the stock CV when it comes to smooth throttle transition, at times you'll be leaving in a cloud of smoke and at times the bike would just stall if you dont moderate throttle input. The P180 runs off a BS29 if I'm not wrong and the main jets are also interchangeable with that of the ZMA, the carb costs around half of what the ZMA's costs but you'd miss out on the TPS front and you'd have to either short it to WOT leave it as it is. Having also replaced the ZMA's carb with a brand new one at around 5.5k I can say that if reliability is a concern then going stock is worth it, but if you have a lot of spare time then the possibilities are unlimited.

          Posting after a while.
My 2012 Zma had crossed 10000 kms and started showing some electrical issues. There is no covered parking in my office. I think the continuous exposure to rains caused the issue. First the starter relay went off - left it is as it is as the spare was not available. After one month or so the battery got discharged without any prior signs or symptoms. Then I started noticing a strange thing that I have never seen in any other bikes - On idle the headlight is bright though it flickers, but once you rev it, the headlight brightness reduces and the meter console go-off some times. Usually, headlight brightness increases in other bikes when we rev the bike. Is it because Zma has full DC or due to some short circuit in the starter relay?
Bike was taken to Hero ASC and they found that the battery is defective. Though the bike has covered only 10k kms, the battery is 5 years old.
Got Exide explore 6AH MF from the service centre itself (Rs.1700). Also got the starter relay and accelerator A/B cables changed.
Issue appears to have resolved for now.
Bike is back to its glory

It all depends on the condition of your bike, kms on odo, kms done since last service.
              However some general pointers:
              - oil change (preferable oil grade 10W30, you can go for 20W40 at the max)
              - oil filter cleaning
              - air filter change
              - spark plug change (if the current spark plug is more than 10k kms old)
              - chain washing and lubing
              - check battery water level
              - front fork oil change (if not done for a long time, say 20k kms)
              - check functionality of all bulbs
              - carb cleaning

If you're referring to Crash Guard then anything that works on anything that has the word Hero or Honda would work with some little fiddling.

In post 2011 ZMA's you'd have to remove the reflectors under the fairing. Cheers.

Very vague question, replacing the drive chain might make your motorcycle sound new, even the coneset for that matter. First please elaborate of what sounds you are referring to.

If it is a metal clatter which come at idle and while coasting then its your timing chain that needs to be inspected, there are many parts that come into play, the tensioner, the guide, the primary chain and sprockets themselves. You would need to thoroughly inspect it to determine what needs to be replaced.

If its a sewing machine kinda sound then its time to set your valve clearances, replacement of the rockers would only be required if something is actually amiss.

But first for us to be in a position to help you better please share more details pertaining to your bike, such as mileage, type of use, mods if any etc. Cheers.

Yes I have removed the chain cover... But I have seen on some ZMA, part around the tyre of chain cover been cut. After removing the chain cover, the tyre don't touch the swing arm.

Is the tyre you are using at rear soft compound?
Which tyre size and brand you are using at front to complement the upside tyre at the rear?

                                Or...
You can use Enticer's chain cover. You just need to drill a hole corresponding to ZMA's swingarm length.
