Yes the very same bent tube.
It doesn't do anything apart from increase the intake growl and the bike sounds as if it were running on K&N. Since the air filter is still stock, you're practically still letting the same (filtered) amount of air flow in (as with the snorkel on), engine stays unaffected. Keep an eye on the filter during rains though.

Any recommendations for a spacious saddle bag for a ZMA? Something that won't burn on the exhaust?

What saddle bags do some of you use?

Thanks for the input, kety213. Will check this one out.

BTW, changed the front tyre to Apollo actizip F2 today. The tyre looks good, has great grip and cost me 1300 rs in Kullu.

Looks are similar to a zapper with added grooves on the side. It's more stable at corners than the previous FS but I need to ride longer to evaluate.

Photos below in case it helps someone looking for info on Apollo's 2-wheeler tyres:

Hi Ketty,

Does this bag setup have any impact on the rear fiber panels?

I have been using Vaiterra Claw. It has screwed up those panels.

Yes but very less. The damage is all taken by the stickers. Actually if ride solo that won't damage much. Actually I was with pillion heading back from Goa to Mumbai after that I noticed the stickers faded.

Absolutely No options out here on 18" tubeless front tyres. Plus minor bends in my rims. :-(

I am currently using MRF Messeter tubeless for both front and rear. The only modification needed is filling of the valve hole on both the rims to accommodate the bigger tubeless air valve.
So far the grip and ride comfort are better than zappers. Since they are based on soft compound I don't expect them to last as long as the default zapper ones, neither I intend to take them off road. They are purely for city and highway running.

Ceat has a few options in 18" Tubeless.

Any idea what is the change interval for rear shocks? Last 12k or so, I have mostly ridden with heavy luggage (Vaiterra Claw) on the rear.
Hence, I believe the shocks have become stiff.

Also, are ZMR's gas shocks a straight fit?

• Tired of plastic fairings falling apart in your old karizma ?

I may have the perfect solution for you !

Those who own an old karizma (2003 to 2006) just love the way their old karizma looks with its decals of "Sports","Hero Honda" and the all famous "225" and golden logo of "Karizma".
Though the machine ages well, with bikes of first production model still doing rounds around the city and highway the plastic does not seem to age well, with a machine still young at heart but with broken and rattling plastic shields some people feel awfully bad about it and are willing to spend some extra bucks to revive there india's first sports tourer only to see that the world has moved on and body kits with karizma R are the only option.

So how do we put on a new dress on the old beast without making it loose its classic charm ?

Pondering on this issue which many of us karizma owners face i thought why not just do this !!

Step 1: Buy the complete karizma R body kit with or without decals (I have seen some giving karizma R decals seperately which you may choose not to buy).If you do buy body kit with the karizma R decal follow step 2.

Step 2: Take a Hot air gun and start blowing hot air on the decal stickers on slow speed or keeping at a safe distance from the plastics as you may not want to melt or deform the plastics. Doing so simultaneously start removing the stickers from the edges, you will be amazed as to how hot air can be used to remove old stickers (yeah yeah i know some of you dont have a professional hot gun so u may use your hair dryer but the process might be slow and tedious).

Step 3 : Buy old decals from the below provided link and apply to your new body kit after thorough cleaning using a nail polish remover or paint thinner but be gentle with the rubbing and solvent quantity to avoid loosing the luster of your new fairings and apply to the correct angle and place of the sticker. If you cant do this DIY take the help of someone who knows what they are doing (It is better to take photographs of your old fairings to identify the correct position of old stickers).

Step 4 : Fix the body kit to your ride giving it the much needed TLC and thank me later if everything goes well.

The link to buy those old decal sticker is as below.
