Re: Karizma/Karizma R Ownership Experience
After selling my 10 year old Unicorn I thought i will be contented with my access 125 but i was proved wrong. Bikes have soul and my soul was now missing. My plan was to upgrade to 300 cc category. Checked many pre-owned cbr250rs and even ninja 300s but the former were battered and the latter were out of my budget. All plans were put to full stop after i bought a baleno on May and couldn't afford any more financial obligations.
My other plan was to find a Rx100 and get it restored or buy a karizma R. Got little lucky when i came to know my cousin had two karizma's lying at his home about to be sold. I took the best one of the two and got home yesterday. Looking at the bike it seems it needs lotof work, will be taking to my mechanic today and evaluate the condition. All i am concerned is the engine condition, others can be worked upon. Here are some pics. Would request valuable inputs from fellow owners who have been cherishing this wonderful bike.
For starters, here are few questions :
1. How costly are the spares ?
2. Are they still available over the counter with the Hero service centers ?
3. Will i be able to get the fenders (is that what they call)
I will keep updating the thread. Really excited and at the same time worried if I am doing the right thing.

1.Spares are costly
2.Depends on location, most of them you have to pre order
3.Which part of bike are you reffering to?
Also only install original parts
they are one time investment in zma
Dont opt for any local

Re: Karizma/Karizma R Ownership Experience
they wont do itOriginally posted by kris123456 View PostLooks like new zma could be launched on 21 dec. just guessing as they are launching 3 new bikes. They can’t launch 2 new splendor’s[emoji13]
So guessing a 200, zma and a splendor.
They are happy selling the splendor
Hero right hand -Splendor
Hero left hand- Passion
They showcased various 200cc+ bikes in the auto expo 2012,2013,2014,2015,2016
but till now they havent launched anything yet
according to me it would be a upgrade
version of their 100-125cc motorcyclesLast edited by Om1234; 12-20-2017, 12:33 PM.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R Ownership Experience
The 250cc bike was actually getting ready for launch, but after the flood of better bikes the launch is delayed/may even be stopped. Involving EBR in the Karizma and ZMR improvement was the biggest mistake, which took away the Loyal customers..the screw up in the design changes worked against Hero Honda and more people went back to purchase a Used Karizma/ZMR than a new one...Even the spares quality had gone bad , and the steady sale of ZMA/ZMR is now lost..More important is the loss of faith in HH quality...and now TVS had launched the BMW based 310cc at a very competitive price...Originally posted by kris123456 View PostLooks like new zma could be launched on 21 dec. just guessing as they are launching 3 new bikes. So HH can now hope only for the sale of their 100cc bikes and nothing more...sad state indeed. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

in 2009-12 period, i got my zma r 2009 two years ago when i got 18 ,my first bike .
Now sir coming to problem
I did half engine work 3 months ago
upper engine work
new piston kit, engine head etc etc the upper part of the engine
new timing chain, new cam set ,clutch plates
chain set etc
After running period of 1000km
got it serviced
the mechanic tightened the tappets
and a very sweet sound came from engine
proper engine sound, that was a pleasure to my ears
,but now

one friend of mine ordered spares
of cbz 2003 model worth 25,000 rs
the main problem is that they show eveything in stock, regardless of the fact they have it or not
my friend confirmed by calling them that do they really have it in stock, they replied yes,
and guess what his money got stuck with them
after a long fight,he managed to get 24,000
back after 45 days ,still 1000 rs went in vain
in my case,i bought various spares of zma carb
i got it delivered,but after 25 days
whereas they said max of 10 days
they have mixed reviews

there customer care have only 2 personsOriginally posted by rreneav1987 View PostThen it isnt worth it! More than that! Ninja 650 is FI and they are selling Carburettor for it [emoji19]
if wrong product delivered you have to return back yourself.
and you need to have a very strong reason
for a return, else they wont take it back
else like other e commerce
no cash on delivery available
i know many persons who tried
some suceeded some failed
but the ratio of person suceeded is high
i think that it depends on what you are ordering
if its an uncommon thing
you are at risk
and if its a bit common
you would get it.
theres a new company
thesparescompany.com
which launched recently
which is yet to be tested in my knowledge

Re: Karizma/Karizma R Ownership Experience
I had purchased lot of parts for my cousins Karizma.Rearsets, RH LH switch assembly and body parts.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostHello Sir! Rearsets are ok,casting finish is very poor.
But have to do as oe are not available.
Switch assembly are of Swiss make and again are not of great quality but will do.
Body parts are in transit will update once received.
Tank cap of Karizma again decent quality.
Parts were received within 7 days both times.
