I think you should start worrying now. Om Bhai.
Government has started to mix 10% ethanol in petrol. All engines older than 5 years will see their components fail because of this mixture.

    In short,
Ethanol mixed petrol will draw moisture(water) from air, when it is stored in petrol tanks.
This water sinks to the bottom in petrol tanks, where fuel pump/ intake to carb sits.
in few weeks, the water mixed ethanol starts to form lumps/gel like substance, which starts to clog carburetors & Fuel filters.
Ethanol is alcohol, which means, its a good cleaner. It can clean the fuel lines and other pipes efficiently. Sadly it cleans till the rubber melts away and aluminium corrodes causing permanent damage to engines.

Any idea on Karizma can handle this fuel? if not, how many years our Zma's will survive in this new world.

I used tvs apache rtr 180 disc pads. They are exactly same. And they cost me only 280rs. When i installed thrm new it took atleast 50 km to start them biting the disc. I was feeling that there is no front brake and disc was also getting too hot to touch even in 1 km riding. But once they were rough afte usage they started biting very nicely, and i belive my braking was better than original brake pads. Its now above 10000km now since i changed them, im getting the good brake feel but want to change them now.

used makino, after searching a lot on internet.
                It costed me 160rs.
Currently i am facing issues with false neutral sometimes, also on when acclerating hard
sometimes clutch slips from 2nd to neutral.
Next time i would try one from akg

Thats sad, what performance can you expect from 160 rs clutch plates? But you can try changing your clutch lever settings, because your gears are not engaging properly. Try adjusting clutch to full clutch, may solve your issue.

no other plates were available ,all were in the price bracket of 150-200
usha, makino, endurance, osheno were available at my finding.
As rtr pad are direct fit to zma, finding some other brand clutch plate which are ,direct fit on a zma

Donno why my post hasnt yielded in any good explanations or answers..

As per my understanding with the help of google.
                      - Tanks will Corrode. All aluminium parts will corrode and get damaged completely.
                      - Pistons take some hit. Not sure to what extent.
                      - FI vehicles are better than non FI vehicles. Because most of the junk clogs the fuel filter. Changing it will help.
                      - Non FI vehicles will take more impact. Because of Carb, which is made of Aluminium and this is where the fuel resides and keeps corroding the parts.
                      - Vehicles made in the last 2/3/4 years can sustain to this change, because, they might have considered this fuel and designed the bikes accordingly.
                      - Older vehicles. No one thinks they can take this change.
                      - Damage caused is irreversible. Changing the damaged parts is the only way.

None of the manufacturers say what their bikes can take. Maruti (cars) can take upto 10% of ethanol. But with respect to bikes, i could not find any info.
If any could find some info, please pass it on.

May be your clutch wire is more fastened than earlier. You can check it by observing the Clutch Lever position and play.
If it is tighter then more oil will be fed to engine ; resulting more acceleration.

I think karizma should be able to take the heat if maintained properly. A bikes average life span is 10 years max. And well maintained karizma could run for 20 years as well. The effect of ethonal cant be faster than the effect of corrosion on bike. So whatever may be the problem causing by enthanol, one can ignore and move on to new bike .

its fixed now, rode the bike and adjusted freeplay myself by trying various gaps.
Now the gear shifts are butter smooth like earlier, pickup is also good.Checked the average by reserve method, its still around 45kmpl.
Was able to hit 120+ speeds
So far all going well, now main thing to check that how much the clutch plates would last.

Exactly. If it lasts atleast 10000km then your goal is achived. because changing of clutch would require oil change as well and you wont like to change clutch plates every 3k kms [emoji16]
