It usually does not happen in high speeds, but it occurs at low speeds, especially during deceleration.

It does not occur always as well. But was rather occasional.

I usually come to a halt by the side of the road, press the front disc lever and push the front forks up and down, and the issue would vanish temporarily.

My bike was living with this issue for a long time.

The fork oil seal of the bike's front right suspension had got screwed up and fork oil was leaking all over suspension.

During regular service, I had changed the fork oil and fork oil seal kit, after which the issue of swaying completely vanished.

It was really surprising as nothing else was changed / adjusted in my bike, except for regular service stuff (like engine oil, air filter, spark plug etc) and the fork oil and fork oil seal.

If the problem faced by you is in the lines of whatever I had described, you can probably check the fork oil levels / fork oil seal in both the left and right suspension.

Thanks for the detailed bro. Even i feel the problem very occasionally. Surprisingly, as you suggested I pressed the front disc lever and pushed front forks up and down and the handling was much better but only temporarily. Also, sometimes I feel like my handle getting struck after taking a very slanting curve. Does front part needs to opened to check fork oil levels ?

Even I replaced the front wheel bearings, problem is not solved.

I would advise you to get the below things checked on both the forks, even before you start suspecting other parts in the bike. Since the issue seems to disappear after pushing the front forks up and down, I suspect that the issue could be related with front forks.

[1] Fork oil replacement (If necessary)
[2] Fork oil levels
[3] Fork oil seal

P.S : I got the works done at HH ASC bro

Usually this happens to me too, but happens only during cold starts and vanishes when the bike is rode for about a km or two.

If you have a similar observation, then IMHO, I would say this is normal.

If that isn't the case, the issue might be similar to the issue faced by one of the forum members : ankit.traveller

He had a similar issue and he had eventually fixed it.

I would advise you to read through the forum pages from Page : 1805.

Hope this helps !

I would advice in following sequence-
1. Check throttle cable A and B slackness.
2. Ride the bike without air filter element just for couple of kms and check if its jerking. If not then change air filter element.
3. Check the fuel tank air vent pipe if it is bent somewhere. When u open fuel lid u see a small hole in tank lid area, pour some water through hole and check if its draining down(near main stand)
4. Tune ur carb afr screw for 3.5 turns anticlockwise after closing it fully clockwise.

-Throttle cable movement is good. Its moving freely.
-I tried riding without air filter.
Problem was still there.
-I will check the vent pipe if its bent. Will pour water and check.
-For carb i ll take it to the mechanic bro.

Hi I have 2012 Karizma-R...clocked around 30K km till now..
Next weekend i am going to get it serviced.. What are service checks i should take care of for a 30K km run Motorcycle.
Till now i have always serviced through Hero ASC.Presently i am running it with Shell Ultra 10W40 .... the engine feedback what i found is peppy till 4K km with more vibration , after that engine lags in acceleration and Speed but Vibration got Reduced.
So now thinking to moving to AX7 Semi-synthetic.. Is there any other Semi-synthetic Oil i may consider ?

Guys regarding the choking issue, i took the bike to hero ASC. First the mechanic swapped the cdi and checked. It was still there. Then he removed the spark plug. Plug was filled with some white color deposits. He changed the plug and it is back to normal now. Picture is sourced from internet.

I too have installed ZMR front and rear tubeless tyres with metal valve body, because rubber type do not fix in tube type rims hole. Is it so?

Completed 15000 kms in one year included 6000 kms of hard core tours. Faced minor issues like air filter fault, gear box oil seal broke, missing, speedo cable snatched, missing issue but all sorted out except finding neutral when downshifting fast from 4th or 5th gear, gear lever used to stuck sometime after 3rd gear, I have to release the clutch little bit again to downshift further for each shifts.

Mine giving mielage of 40 in city. I kept bottle of 1lt petrol with me, during a ride when bike came in reserve immediately I poured 1 lt of petrol and my steed did 40 km before comming in reserve in mixed riding conditions.

Top speed I achieved is 122 km/hr on speedo.

Last 2 oil change was motul 20w40 mineral but this time I shifted to shell Ax7, though no difference I felt in engine smoothness and gear shift feel.

Hi Ankit,

I have recently bought a pre-owned ZMA 2006 model. I want to change the front tyre to Tubeless type and got to know from your post that the usual rubber valve stem doesn't fit into the hole. I have placed an order for Ceat Zoom Secura 80/100 Tubeless front tyre.

Could you please post the pics of the metal valve stem you're talking about. and what is the hole dia, if you know it by any chance?

I Request fellow ZMA owners to help me with this.

Thanks & Regards,

Good to know your problem was solved just by spark plug. BTW how old your plug was?

You can get tubeless valve setup from any tyre shop. 2 types of valve setup available - rubber type and steel type.
Usually aftermarket rubber type got damaged easily and frequently. I have steel valve installed since 30k kms.

1. I want to change into Mono suspension (the reason is ,a American mechanic told me , about Mono suspension is more stable and better control ).
2. Rear disk brake .
