From your description of the condition of oil and level it is obvious that the bike had not been cared for...The strainer and the inside of the nuts also confirm this...I would request you to change the engine oil to Shell Rimula R4 diesel oil after running the AX7 for 1,500 Kms and run the bike with R4 for at least 1,000 Kms to clean out the internals. If the R4 comes out dark then one more run in with another liter of R4 is warranted to clean out the deposits inside the engine...This will ensure cleaner internals and better compression....
    Just my thought

Today also tested extensively, no issues of missing. I am extremely happy. Thanks to all members who motivated me not to sell my bike. Almost sold it due to this issue.

Thanks to members in this thread for sparing their time to help me sorting out this issue.

Sorry Divya sharan, typing mistake, OE airfilter cost was 285 and not 485. I got it after searching for it in 4 to 5 spare parts stores, every store says that karizma parts are difficult to source.

Are there any parts required to stock up? just to avoid last minute search

Thank you for the suggestion, will change to R4 oil after 1500 kms on AX7. I found some thick oil stains when i removed the starter motor gear cover, i suppose its the same case with the other engine parts too.

        • How to replace Cam Chain Tensioner in Karizma- DIY

How to replace Cam Chain Tensioner in Karizma- DIY

Cam chain tensioner (CCT) maintains the tension in cam chain, there was a kat-kat sound in the engine which was because of the wearing of CCT. After replacing it, the engine has become very smooth.

This is the OE CCT from Pricol, its named as Lifter Assy. Tensioner

          Steps to be followed:

1st step: Remove the Starter motor by removing two holding bolts (10 mm) on the right side of engine. You may also remove the side covers so that you can freely move the spanner. (No need to remove the starter motor gear cover as I did, not required)

After taking off the bolts, pull the motor towards the right side of the engine and put the motor somewhere down to get access to the CCT.

3rd Step: Remove the CCT, take out the gasket and reuse it on the new CCT.

4th Step: Turn the key (included in the package) on the top of CCT clockwise to retract the plug inside and tuck the key in the slots to hold it at that position.

5th Step: Put on the gasket and tighten the bolts to fit the CCT, pull out the top key after fitting CCT. Put the top screw cover. (on removing the top key, the plug springs back to its full length) and fit the starter motor back. Its job done!!...

Guys, my bike handling seems to gone for a toss after changing my coneset(racer kit). I have already changed coneset 3 times in different places, but still I am not getting that wonderful handling for the first few years. Especially, it doesn't turn well when changing lanes.

Another problem, bike sways in crosswinds and as some suggested, removal of engine cowl is pending. How to identify a worn-out swing arms apart from rear tyre play ?

Even the Front and rear tyres, handle are relatively new. I am riding the bike from 40 months.

Bear my bad English and thanks in advance.

Please check your front wheel for play/out. If problem still persist check your swing arm bush...

Front wheel bearing needs replacement. While at it get the axle lubed with grease..

I had a problem, where the bike sways left and right while riding. It feels like as if wheel got punctured, but actually that was not the case.

It usually does not happen in high speeds, but it occurs at low speeds, especially during deceleration.

It does not occur always as well. But was rather occasional.

I usually come to a halt by the side of the road, press the front disc lever and push the front forks up and down, and the issue would vanish temporarily.

My bike was living with this issue for a long time.

The fork oil seal of the bike's front right suspension had got screwed up and fork oil was leaking all over suspension.

During regular service, I had changed the fork oil and fork oil seal kit, after which the issue of swaying completely vanished.

It was really surprising as nothing else was changed / adjusted in my bike, except for regular service stuff (like engine oil, air filter, spark plug etc) and the fork oil and fork oil seal.

If the problem faced by you is in the lines of whatever I had described, you can probably check the fork oil levels / fork oil seal in both the left and right suspension.

I have a query about Karizma R carburetor. I'd like to know about the diaphragm, is the coating on it the black or the silver color? What color it should be? Mine is black with small silver spot area i can see. Is the black color deposit or the silver color is the deposit? Also, the inside where the diaphragm goes, there is some black scratched area or deposit too. Do i need to change the diaphragm? or the whole carburetor? The bike is 1.7 years old. It's 2014 Model Karizma R. Please helm me understand and resolve this carburetor problem.

                        Hi All ,

Recently while fixing rear flat tyre .. i found one of the sprocket rubber pair is detached ( it comes as a pair attached by a thread of rubber which is cut in my case).
.. the mech put that rubber with fevikwik for time being ...

What is the significance of that thread and rubber ?
How does it affect performance if any ?

i think you are talking about the wheel damper. if thats the case,it might result in wobbling of the rear wheel. they cost somewhere around 100rs i think.
