Re: Karizma/Karizma R Ownership Experience
Hold the diaphragm against light and see if there are any small holes..if there is any you may have to change it...Regarding the Engine oil Shell AX7 is good...similarly the Shell Rimula R4 is good. though it is a Diesel engine oil the viscosity and additives are helpful in maintaining good engine cleanliness and keep the moving parts well lubricated... I am using it for more than 3 yrs with good results. Since it is a Mineral oil you may have to change it in 2 k Kms.Originally posted by jithin911 View PostWhen Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R Ownership Experience
My engine is creating dhud dhud sound on idle, which reduces when moving
What could be culprit
Some say timing chain tensioner, please tell how to check it.
Some say it is crank bearing cost 10k complete overhaul.Last edited by Om1234; 05-16-2018, 03:16 PM.

To find out block the INSIDE of the vacuum hose coming into the Aircut off valve , and keep it connected. Better still replace air cut off valve diaphragm and install. Now check for problems...if problem continues then check for throttle slide being sticky or worn out .
Good luck.
Sir please listen to this audio
Please Copy this link into your browser and listen the sound of my karizma engine
It is creating a thud thud sound on idle
Some say it is crank bearing and requires engine overhaul.
Some say crank is very strong of karizma it does not get damaged,it would be timing chain tensioner.
Bike has done around 30-35 thousand kms
One time half engine work, usha piston installed.
Average 40+ and pickup everything is proper.
No white smoke from exhaust.
Please give your valuable inputs.Last edited by Om1234; 05-18-2018, 05:24 PM.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R Ownership Experience
The idle is extremely low and the sound may be due to connecting rod big end bearing...that said does the sound increase while riding ?..esp., when you down shift ? if yes then conrod big end bearing...if the sound is consistent even while normal riding and also while down shifting then suspect crank bearing. but for the crank bearing to develop this it must have run without oil..My suspicion is on the conrod big end bearing .Originally posted by Om1234 View PostSir please listen to this audio

Will it require complete overhual to fix?

Without opening the engine , it is hard to tell , because the condition of associated parts must also be evaluated....Originally posted by Om1234 View PostNo sir,the sound reduces while riding.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R Ownership Experience
It can be a problem with cam chain tensioner, also check the valve too. I too had this problem earlier. Check with the timing once in 20k, this can prevent premature parts replacement.Originally posted by Om1234 View PostMy engine is creating dhud dhud sound on idle, which reduces when moving

Psr sir bike is very smooth, minimal vibesOriginally posted by psr View PostWithout opening the engine , it is hard to tell , because the condition of associated parts must also be evaluated....
Is it possible for a bike to work in such a way, with the crank damaged?
Do you think it can be timing chain tensioner.Last edited by Om1234; 05-20-2018, 04:01 PM.

My engine sound was exactly the same as yours. Mine was rectified by changing the cam chain tensioner. Does the sound lessen when the engine heats up?Originally posted by Om1234 View PostHow was your problem solved?

Re: Karizma/Karizma R Ownership Experience
Hey xbhpians, I need your advises and help here. I was thinking about increasing the height of front suspension. Can I increase the play of the forks? I would like to ride a machine with little more height in front.
Is there any way to do it? If yes, please let me know the details and cost.
Thanks in advance[emoji2]

Try CBZ forks, not sure about which iteration but a friend went with a pair to raise the front by a few inches.Originally posted by rydergeorge View PostHey xbhpians, I need your advises and help here.
