You sure!!! if so i think i too must gear up , Reason plz visit Chennai/bangalore HH ride in tourer section page 53 (my post) which talks about the mileage which i got: 46.7 kmpl @ 450 odd kms highway ride and the rest city ride. and page 58 (archi's post) which talks about the distance and time we travelled (return leg), one section it was 140 km in 120 mins i guess. Although the ride towards the HH hills was limited to max 80 kmph dut to bad roads and traffic. Excuse me if my claims make no sense.Originally posted by SAGARR_46 View Post

Its a fact known that R15 has the power of a 200 and the mileage of a 150 cc..
It consistently gives 40 +..
Why Confusion over what ?

sorry to interrupt the discussion folks...but there's a serious issue...when i start my engine there is a tapping sound from it but as i engage my clutch it goes away and comes again when i disengage it (in a static position)...wat is happening?? and there is a feeling that she is not willing to go for high speeds...i mean lack of smoothness like before....wat should i look into???NIHIL ULTRA

My friend's Classic CBZ also had a similar problem. Does the sound disappear once the engine is warmed up? I don't remember exactly (I'll ask him though), but he used to say it was something to do with the spark plug.Originally posted by souvikb83 View Postsorry to interrupt the discussion folks...but there's a serious issue...when i start my engine there is a tapping sound from it but as i engage my clutch it goes away and comes again when i disengage it (in a static position)...wat is happening?? and there is a feeling that she is not willing to go for high speeds...i mean lack of smoothness like before....wat should i look into???

Shouvik, can be tappets... or can be the clutch plates bell (the cup like thing that holds the clutch plates)... the mech identified that the roughness in my engine is due to the clutch plate bell.... those parts are not yet available...Originally posted by souvikb83 View Postsorry to interrupt the discussion folks...but there's a serious issue...when i start my engine there is a tapping sound from it but as i engage my clutch it goes away and comes again when i disengage it (in a static position)...wat is happening?? and there is a feeling that she is not willing to go for high speeds...i mean lack of smoothness like before....wat should i look into???

Does the roughess u said mean a slight delay in gear engage after releasing the clutch??Originally posted by HydBiker View PostShouvik, can be tappets... or can be the clutch plates bell (the cup like thing that holds the clutch plates)... the mech identified that the roughness in my engine is due to the clutch plate bell.... those parts are not yet available...
