Guyss....
I own a 6 month old TBTS.. Any TBTS / UCE based model owners facing tappet noise while maintaining a ateady speed around 2.5K RPM?? I am experiencing it. I tried showing it to many mechanics.. From everywhere I am gettin replies that the Hydraulic tappets cant b adjusted!! Is it really true? Because the noise really annoys me a lot!!There is not even a single day that I dont curse those self adjusting tappets!!
Also after some long rides I notice some scrapping noise from the right hand side of the crank case....
Any idea of the issue?

I agree bro! But eh! I wanted a Bullet back in my life asap and the Electra made sense to me. End of the day they have the same motor and mechanics and it s a matter of looks. And that way the Electra in red with gold 3d decals simply looks awesome for me.Originally posted by vas View PostCongrats for the Electra, though the C350 would have been more show

In Bangalore the waiting period for this is 3 months I guess."I set out running but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine. If I get home before day light, just might get some sleep tonight" - The Grateful Dead.

Thanks man! Got the delivery today. Kudos to Tekniks Motors B'lore for keeping timelines and being so good with every thing.Originally posted by subushady View PostCongrats dude. Good Choice
I ve hardly got anytime on the new bull just ridden him back from showroom to home n had to rush into work so a sum total of 25 kms. The pick up way better than my old electra. The UCE engine has oodle of torque. I am calling him Red Dragon. Will post pics soon.
Unfortunately me Dad tried holding the bike and could nt manage the wieght and the bike ended up havin a lil drop
that resulted in the handle weight getting slightly scratched and the throtle has lost the spring action as in it does not snap back into position when let gone of. This pure hysteris i guess. Will go back and get that Throtle cable adjusted tomorrow and all should be well from then on.

Buying a TBTS
Hi guys,
I'm just in love with this bike from the time I came to my senses in this life. I've been riding standard 350 in my school times. I'm the owner of FZ since last 1 year n looking forward to get a TBTS for my stable.
I just want to know what are the merits/demerits of this bike. I'm going for this bike as I love its cruiser looks. Moreover, I want a fast cruising bike (I've seen on its site, the top speed claimed is 120 kph). Please help me in knowing this bike better.
My Details are:
Height: 6.2"
Weight: 88 kg
Build: Little bit heavy
So I think with this personality, TBTS will fit me perfectly.
Suggestions are always welcomed

The TBTS is a great choice if you want a fast comfortable cruiser. The UCE engine has oodles of Torque translating into lotsa of usable power in the low n mid ranges. I ve really not redlined my RudrA(My Electra UCE) to get a feel of him in the hihger revs as I am still running him in but that meaty torque is simply amazing. The the Tbird and the Electra share the the same engine now. The the UCE/TwinSpark is a really fast sonofagun.
hmm BTW are you gonna giva away the FZ? I hope not."I set out running but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine. If I get home before day light, just might get some sleep tonight" - The Grateful Dead.

But I know that TBTS gives only 20 bhp power and its 350 cc bike. I'm a little skeptical about the power. I also know that bullet will come bundled with vibrations. Has anyone felt it at cruising speeds of 100+ ?? How comfortable is the bike at fast speeds?
N buddy, I'm not going to part with my FZ
. I'm buying TBTS for tours but FZ is still the Lord of the Streets

I do not know about the UCEs, but you just got to find the sweet spot for cruising at high speeds. My bull vibrates (not too much though) between 75 to 85 kmph, but when i get the sweet spot that is anywhere from 90-95 kmph, it feels like i can go on all day. I got a STD 350, so i am guessing the TBTS would have it sweet spot at around 100-110 kmph.
Just my two cents.

Info on Lambda Sensor....
Lambda Sensor
The function of the Lambda sensor (Which is used in the European version) is to support the three way catalytic convertor employed to meet the Emission requirements of Euro3. (which is different in driving cycle / emission values than the Indian requirements) This is called a closed loop system.
The function of this sensor is to optimize the A/F ratio stoichiometric at various emission Driving cycle points to support the Catalytic convertor function effectively.
During other operating conditions like starting, high altitude , high speed acceleration beyond 4000rpm (where the engine requires rich mixtures ), it is deactivated.
Also this will get activated only after the engine warms up sufficiently and oil temperature reaches 32deg centigrade.
The entire engine operating range for any operating conditions are controlled and mapped through ECU enabled by sensors like MAP sensor, temperature sensor, RPM sensor &Throttle position sensor ( Lambda sensor is not used for this)
The Indian program does not require a Lambda sensor, since only an oxidation catalytic convertor is employed to control Indian emission standards and this is known as open loop system.
The entire engine operating range for any operating conditions are controlled and mapped through ECU enabled by the same sensors used in the Europe version.
The complete mapping of the ECU program is optimized with correct fuel mixture ratio to meet the requirements of all engine operating conditions.
