    Even i am not an expert but according to me for perfomance you can change your air filter with K&N rc-1060 and also upjet it (came to know just now.) and also you can change ur engine oil. and also spark plug and many more.... i wont guide you much as TOLD U BEFORE m not expert, would not like to give false info...

    • @appuprabhakar: you can go for a k&n RC1060 air filter and also get NGK Iridium spark plugs. but upjetting to about 115 size is a must- and also, none of these mods will aid performance unless properly done by a skilled mechanic. you could even change the sprocket depending on whether you want more accleration or top speed.
      ask some seniors here though, most of them(except you, dualdisc) advice to keep your bike stock .

        hey bro... wat if i install K&N and dont upjet...wat problem will i face...
        pls let me know... and will upjet boost pickup ??? or it'll increase the speed..
        and also m worried about mileage...

          if you install k&n without upjetting, there will be almost no performance gains at all. but generally mileage will take a hit anyway, you can expect a drop of 2-3kmpl.

          simply put, upjetting increases both accleration and top end, but it depends on the size of the jets you go for. upjetting and mileage don't like each other, in my friend's case(p150 dtsi), it dropped to 32-35, from upto 45

          • Well, for starters upjetting alone will result in a drop in mileage, and substantial wastage of petrol, coz ur bike's too running rich (more petrol, less air in the AFR). it does not necessarily mean more power through out the rev-range.

            K&N without upjetting will mean, your bike will run lean (less fuel, more air in the AFR) and as a result, the engine has a tendency to heat up more than usual... even damage in the long run....

            educate me if I'm wrong...

            • i have a 125(zma) jet and facing a peculiar prob:

              when i open my throttle, the engine doesnt respond. it gives out a sound like the way when petrol is gettin over and you rev hard.
              i have a k&n filter so always thot of having a bigger jet. So i have the stcok p-200's 110 jet, but my carb is that of the 180 ug3. the carb holds a (stock) 117 jet.

              Right now am in a dileema which one should i go for a 117 or a 110 jet.

                  • Guys I seriously need help for my p200 which has clocked 12.5k, I'm facing many many problems bcoz I've taken this bike from someone else for a period of 5-6months & that guy used this bike very harshly & didn't maintained very well... Plz suggest me a good p200 mechanic in Hyd, yesterday only I've got it serviced from one guy but he didn't done his best job & I paid him 800 bugs already.

                    Hyd-Xbhpians & P200 owners, plz help me with good mechanic address... Plzzzzzz....

                    • I wud suggest you to visit bajaj probiking work shop. If they do their job good. Its good 4u. Just tell then wat all prob u r facing. Nd also let us know wat r the probs u r facing..

                      • Problem I'm facing in my p200...

                        1. Bike's handle is not straight from from-end & when I leave the bike on idle on slopes, it goes like snake - left-right left-right.
                        2. Bike is not starting in gear even when with & withour pressing clutch.
                        3. Some kat-kat kat-kat sound is coming from engine or may be from clutch-plates are gone..something like that.
                        4. Normal beam is coming straight on the front object & not on road, & High-beam is going in slightly upwards where normal beam is projecting.
                        5. Not able to attain speed as harsh sound is growing from engine once I'm speeding up the bike.
                        6. Gearbox definately needs setting as it is not shifting softly.

                        I need your assistance guys, this is the reason why I'm not going inn for new 220 dts-i = SAME AFTERSALES PROBLEM WILL MAKE ME MAD.

                        • Need not to be worry bro. all problem will be solved. As ur bike goes left right check 4 wheel alignment. Nd for other probs wont be able to advice much..wud not give false info. Probikin will solve ur probs. Thts my advice. Lets see wat others have to say..
