  • hi

first of all you have to check oil level in oil level glass.
then if its below then oil minimum level then top up it or just change it. as u have pulsar 200.
the major thing for u that dont use 10w40 or 20w40.
u can use 15w50 if its motul. other wise use castrol 20w50 active extra ( very tough to find but try once on major retailers or exclusive show rooms.)
or go for bajaj 20w50 1100ml.
drain old one and put the new one.

then check a screw near box pipe (dont konw what it called) in scilencer it should be tighten.

for temprature dont know. my temp. sensor wires broken so if u know where it is plz tell me.

for oil puressure sensor chek it near oil cooler you can clear it thourgh local mechanic be careful as u open this sensor oil will come out.

even it showing oil sensor then check wether oil is rotating in pipes or not

for that just stand u r bike on main and flat road. and start it and see the oil level in glass the accrlt. if oil level is fluctuating or level go down then its ok other wise its not flowing in pipes. that why ur engine heats up.

even after these all things ur bike remiain same then tell me how many kms. done on odo. may be time to rebuild engine.

There is a gudgeon pin, it connects the piston to the connecting rod. Perhaps the mech is talking about that?

But if you are facing black smoke and oil loss then it is clear that oil is bypassing the piston rings and getting burnt. Why not take it up with PBK? They give a 5 year warranty on the engine.

EDIT: The gudgeon pin has a needle bearing. That might be the faulty part here.

ya i know that but the mech at the pbk told me i was feasible . so thought @ xbhp somebody might have done this already, but it seems like nobody has done it so will go for the normal stuff . asked for the new 220s engine block and it is around 27690 rs new carb around 3-4k + new cdi @700-900 rs all wiring (new) so whole set up will cost me around 40 to 45k , will be doing it in december

i may not be the best....but dude what i suggest is why dont you go for engine porting & polishing instead of a all new block...in pune it cost around 10k for p200

ok but what will be the performance gains/ petrol consumption etc and am in bengaluru dude if you know anyone here plz give the contact no.. and btw i want a reliable / long range no fuss touring machine with good power and cruising speed ( my bike has started to show signs of lazyness due to the heavy forks and rear disk setup pics on pg-211 , i have to change gears more frequently in the city compared to earlier and after i cross the 3 digit mark there is strain in the engine and itll take forever to reach 120+ ) the bike has become very stable at 100+ speeds no twitching and no jerks when a small stone comes in contact with the front tyre etc.. thats why i wanted to go for the new block of 220s , all i want is the xtra torque
                  that baby has

i got my engine ported and polished for 4000 bucks!
the engine feels soo smooth and awesome!!
the vibes disappeared ...i havent got to test the top end..but i might go for the 220 dtsfi's 37teeth or the 220F's 36 teeth sprockets for top end!

                    anybody else did porting?

Hello all ....Please help with the installation of K&N.....I have RC-1060.....had it for a month.....didnt find any difference in performance(infact ater I removed I felt my pick-up to be better in stock)....felt waste of 2k.....some said jetting is mandatory so please guide me regarding up-jetting....the size of the jet that suits after the fitment of K&N.....and what could be the possible effect on mileage.....currently Im getting 35-38km/lr....also I have observed a strange sound in engine once I cross 4000rpm .....it fades away after 6000k and at 7000k I experience a sudden raise in pick-up ....Also please tell me if it is worth going fr a 220 sprocket.....I have read it has 36teeths and helps in better top-end.....thanks in Advance

                        • Hey Guys

I've decided to go for IRC 130x70/17 for my 200. Its huge, tread pattern looks awsome. Show room guy told me that its lighter than stock MRF's. Also its soft compound. so definitely getting it.

But Im still confused which one to get at front of my steed. Can you guys suggest any? I need good grip at at front but it should't weight more that stock tires. So please give your advise.

And..... One more thing today I called KRP Delhi for porting and polishing inquiry. They told it will cost 1500 INR Is it that cheap??? What would be the performance gains after I get it done?

                              1) K&N requires a larger jet for more fuel flow, to match the higher air flow that a K&N outputs. So, if you put in a new, larger jet, more fuel flows in and thus mileage definitely drops.

                              2) If you put in a 220 sprocket kit then the acceleration will drop a bit and you will gain a little top end.

                              3) All this free-flow filter and jetting business is quite easy to get wrong so IMO keep the engine stock.
