Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Thanks buddy. Have done the following:
1) Engine oil changed about a month ago.
2) Yet to be done.
3) Self start works once in a blue moon after abt 20 km of riding. So will check that and also in one of the earlier post someone said something about changing the rectifier if the battety does not charge. So should I do that also?
4) Needs to be done as the tyres have be ome quite hard.
5, 6 and 7 will do it probably by end of week.
8) These are absolutely fine.
Will keep u posted about the developments.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Also please suggest the best mineral oil. I have using castrol 4t. Is that good enough. Should I use the mineral oil for a specific period of time before shifting to a semi synthetic. Please suggest that oil name as well.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
See the mineral oil usually depends. After using shell, elf, castrol and motul I have found the motul the best. For 5000-7000kms usually said to be the period of using mineral oil before switching.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Just another query fellows: as mentioned earlier, am about to change my treads. Went to two different shops and one is selling dunlop for pulsar 150 2006 mag wheel and another one is selling Michelin siras. Former costs about 1550 and 1650 front and rear. Yhe Michelin costs 1400 and 2000 front and rear.
My query is, which one should I go for. They say MRF zapper is no longer available.
Any suggestions?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Michelin Pilot Sporty or MRF Zapper FS front and MRF Vyde or Pirelli SD or Michelin Pilot Sporty or Ceat Gripp/ Vertigo Sport back. Ceat vertigo Sport or Gripp is for off and on road, rest are are for city tarmacs. Pirelli SD : Awesome with grip both wet and dry I am damn satisfied. Currently I am with Vyde , feedback is very good but not tested in wet conditions. For front FS and Pilot Sporty both are equally good. I don't suggest Dunlop of TVS as I don't have a very good experience with them.Originally posted by rajnair View PostJust another query fellows: as mentioned earlier, am about to change my treads. Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Thanks a lot Maadyy for the prompt response. I just found a dealer who sells both mrf zapper and ceat gripp. While my riding is mostly city tarmac, can I go for mrf front ad ceat grip rear. Or both ceat. Will it have any impact when I ride in city.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
MRF is ok for city as well as off roading ( to some extent). Ceat Gripp / Vertigo Sport is good for city and off road also but doesn't inspire much on cornering. MRF Vyde having round profile and made up of semi soft compound does that better than Ceat Vertigo / Gripp. But Ceat Gripp or Vertigo lasts longer being of harder compound as compared to Vyde or SD or Pilot Sporty. So if you are in city only I will suggest you to go for MRF or Michelin or Pirelli, veritgo or Gripp will give you a little bumpy ride too. That's all I can suggest you after using all of the above mentioned.Originally posted by rajnair View PostThanks a lot Maadyy for the prompt response. Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Hello,
Got my bike serviced and the mechanic was good, he top-up my brake oil, top up battery water, reassemble front fairing ,etc. Bike is running great and even in morning bike started in first self without choke i was really happy but in afternoon all the battery water leaked and it made some spots on the silver panel on right so removed the water from water and washed the bike but some spots still remain

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
It happens sometimes when water is over filled. Check the drainage pipe , so that it is placed properly. You can go for MF battery also to avoid this kind of problems. Happy to know about your bike. keep munching miles.Originally posted by sanket779292 View PostHello,

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Fellows, got my treads changed. The front is MRF Zapper FS and the reat tyre is Ceat Zoom tubeless. Total cost 3500. Is this good enough. After all the advice from all, had to get this one done as the existing ones had started developing cracks.
However the problem persists. Every time I apply the rear brakes alone, it feels as the bike ia wobbling.
How do I get this sorted?
It used to happen earlier and I thought it was due to the 7+ year old treads.
Pls advise as today it rained in Mumbai ans had a near skid ans saved just by the nick.
