Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Spl. Edition is just a name...They will continue to sold the sp. Edition bikes in future as they are selling it in more number's. Im seeing lot of sp. edition bikes in these days than normal one.Originally posted by ZZR1 View Post

What you said it right. Going for Special Editions is a 1,000k+ expense generally and finding parts of it will be little difficult later on.
But, same time the Indian Bike scenario is quite different, here Special Editions don't generally mean ''Limited edition''.
This is Hornet forum, but I would love to give its competitor's example.....I can expect Suzuki to drop its Classic Blue Gixxer but not the Matte Grey Special Edition, Suzuki will do Cost-effective, Cost-benefit analysis to bring out all of this into perspective.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Guys, which wax aur cleaner should i use on my hornet special edition mars orange? I am not using any glossy cleaner as my hornet is matte grey (or black). I simply clean it with a fibre cloth. And for the carbon finished parts, i am presently using Waxpol vinyl and leather cleaner. Please suggest anything good for the matte finish. Cheers !!

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Lubed chain today using 3M clener+Lube.
I think Kerosene will do the same job for cleaning.
Few days back, got cleaned my bike at Automatic & Fastest Bike Wash Machine India | Bikes Washing Services, Instant Motorbike Care, Bike Spa in India - BikeCleanse outlet for 150/- (Wash+wax).
They used some spay on body and then wax.
I am not what spary and wax they used but bike is shining like new
Tank fiber which looks like dirt magnet is now completely cleaned. See the pic.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hie guys.... New to this forum as well as website.... Jst got my hornet special edition green cbs delivered on 1feb... Few things i noticed ....
1. Gearbox is not very smooth... Sometimes to shift down from 3rd gear to 2nd gear it requires to shift 2-3 times... Also to shift from 4th gear to 5th gear it moves to neutral or stays in between gears creating a grinding noise...
2. Engine not smooth as fz...
3. Headlight throw is very bad... Full beam is worse...
Will these problems go after break in period of the bike...
What suggestions would you give to take care of the bike like type of engine oil... Recommended oil change period (6 months is too much)... Our anything else regarding care of matte colour... Cheers to everyone

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Gearshifts should become little better considering the Honda ASC does its job in the 1st service however the Neutral issue is something they need to resolve and will not just go with oil change. Headlights are bad, options are available but may void warranty . Engine is not as smooth as Fz so nothing can b done it's character of bike . Give it some time and try and complete 700- 800 km before 1st service it will help know ur bike better.Originally posted by adityagaur51 View PostHie guys.... New to this forum as well as website.... Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences

Hey guys! Installed U5 LED lights on hornet on leg guard! Total cost 1160+140. Purchased from Amazon! See yourself the effect of LED lights vs headlight in the attached pics! [emoji16]
In last pic you can see headlight on left side and lights up front.
Highly recommend! [emoji2] [emoji108] [emoji106]
Any suggestion how to make arrangements on leg guard to aim both lights at same point? Then it would very brighter!Last edited by vaRider; 02-05-2017, 11:25 AM.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Gearbox will get smooth as you use it! Believe me it gets really very smooth after some time. My pillion riders don't understand if I shifted gears, it's that smooth!
2nd is little hard.. make sure you apply good force when shifting gears while it's new.
Grinding happened with me as well. Just take to ASC and ask them to lube it or fix it.
Engine will take long time for getting smooth.
See my last Post for lights upgrade.
Alternatively you can buy 35W LED but design of reflector soils itRide hard, Ride safe! :D

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Yeah you can get 12 LED flood but it's range is very limited so only useful for off roading or slow riding.Originally posted by meeraj_xplore View PostBut those are spot lights, can we get it in flood pattern?
For highway riding spot is most useful.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Also it requires choke to kickstart in the morning.... After choke it is ready to go... Bt is using choke cause damage ????... Or it should start without giving choke ???... (Bike turns off if choke is not given..)Originally posted by vaRider View PostHey! Welcome to hornet forums!

If the bike doesn't start without the choke? Then no other option other than using the choke.
But use half/full choke depending upon the climate, if its not that cold, then in half choke the bike would get start.
If you love the handling and the confidence the bike inspires you must get used to the stiff suspension and hard ride.
This setup gives the bike good riding dynamics.
Cheers.
