Secondly the projector is not giving a uniform light like pulsar 220 projector. It is little distorted like it is reflected via a prism or something. any way to set the focus of projector ?
Please Reply and help. I appreciate it.
I hope you have that small box between battery & Projector ?
    That's RELAY.
If you don't know, google for it.

I guess the projector you bought must be those chinese thing available in market at affordable price?
It's never gonna throw 220's light.

Better if you would have searched those service garages or Chor-Market type places to get a Original 220's projector for 1.2-1.8k + a 220's bulb and you're done !
Accidental 220's mostly have a projector left after new fairing is installed !

        Hi,

go for any 35W Halogen offering from osram/Bosch/philips, make sure you get the same bulb base. best one is from osram( lil tough to get but better than Bosch/philips)

I know driving at night with stock lamp is real PITA....
Life(health & wealth) is like LED(voltage & current) too much or too less is unacceptable.

        • I have converted my P180 UG3 to full DC long days back. I was using Hand Winded Stator along with Genuine APE RR. It was giving enough juice to my 55W 4300K HID bought from Navnish Nagesh. But I was planning for some more i.e. installing another 35W HID with P220 Projector at Leg Guard. So I was searching for somebody who can do winding through machine. & finally I have found R&D Motovill (http://www.facebook.com/RDmotovil) who has done the superb thing for me. The winding is much much better than OEM (Pulsar 150/180 UG2/UG3 coil rewinding | Facebook) Presently working on P220 Projector. Will post the pics after completion.

Thanks a lot Dr. Vivek Mukherjee, Navnish Nagesh, Debraj Baskar, Rohit Karmakar. You all have helped me lot. Also thanks to Sajjt, Shreeni, Abhijeet, Pavan Chirmade, Prince Sirohi, Rahul Debnath for their threads which helped me lot during conversion. I got all the answers of my queries which came in my mind.

          • Hi guys,

Been going through this thread, not easy to peruse 396 pages, haven't finished yet but gaining much info.

Still I have a few questions remaining unanswered:

            1) Does replacing 35W OEM bulb with 35W branded bulb result in more light?
            2) If yes, then is the gain in light worth spending money on?
            3) If yes, what are my options for 35W branded bulbs?

Osram NB and Philips Xtreme are both 55W, I DO NOT want to go for recoiling as of now.
35W HIDs are an option but I DO NOT want to use HID without projector and I have no idea (as yet) about projectors at all. Still reading/learning.

            Am not very

            • Replacing 35W OEM with other 35W will hardly give U marginal difference which U cannot notice also. Yah.. U can go for bluish type of Halos bt practically visibility will go down. Moreover 35W segment has not that much of different products like in 55/60W have whr U will get ONB, Phlps EX etc. If U want to stick to 35W then U can try 30W CREE H4 LEDs. I haven't tried these before but I am sure LM is more than HALOs, so U may get better visibility than OEM HALO. URL given below.

Thanks a lot for your inputs. Seems like rewinding and going for 55/60W is a better idea both in terms of amount of light as well as range of products. Guess I will just wait it out. Thanks again..!!

I was using a Red Led Smd 9 in 1 on my 220.

Bought new White (Red wasn't available) Led
                        42 Led Smd.
                        270 Lumen
                        The Light is very bright.
                        Purchased a set of 2 for 850rs.

OEM Bulb is already Phlips only. So best option is go for coil winding & make it full DC with 60W bilb.

Dude this LED's not worth it's simply waste of money.I've inquired in the shops who's selling this lights they said it's simply foe show purpose only not for better lightning.

If you want only angle eye then no issue, If you want a projector with angel eye then you have to rewind your coil to make it full DC then only you can use Projector with angel eye setup else it'll eat ur battery.

                            • Don't replace stock halogen with LED lamp. you can't get enough light output and beam pattern.
Use extra LED spot lamp. It will greatly improve visibility
I installed Cree XML led with 20 degree LED optics. XML produce 600 lumens @ 2A

                              • Guys..... Wat type of Bulbs is a direct fit for the Headlight of MY R15 V2?? ( i mean like HS1,H4..... ) Only HS1 Fits???? Also i would like to upgrade to 55W bulb ( I know its not a big improvement but am not ready to spend 6K + on HID + Projector as am not a great tourer as of Now..Surely will Tour Later ) Should i modify anything to fit a 55W bulb like battery or wiring ?? I think Highbeam is 35+35 = 70W.... SO i dont think i need to change the wiring..but what about low beam?? Plz help guys
