You need to get a CE certified ballast which are tested as per standards . Usually the 35w ballast consume 3.2 amps as constant . try exchanging the ballast from where you got it . if not you might have to buy a new one

          • Anyone here installed Projectors on R15 ? Can some one shed light on
            - Which projectors can best fit ?
            - Can I choose P220's low beam projector ?
            - Any changes needs to be done with battery ?

            • The simple thing for r15 is like you buy hid from nanapeth or chinese or from any one from xbhp selling it, it will cost you around 2000 to 3500 but if you see the R15 reflector does not support the HID let it be bi xenon or any k hid you put on it as you cant see beyond 20 feet. And than you need to buy projectors which again cost you 3 k, so total HID cost with kit and projector for single bulb goes to 6-7k and than again you have to put for both head lights its double.

Maximum people who sell HID kits dont sell HID with projector but remove and sell it separately just to make more money, but actually its a wrong method.

I had my own share of experiences and found out that just putting the HID is not doing anything good without the projector and its waste of money.

Removed the HID out as the bulb went kaput within 10 months of purchase and mind you there are no warranty for this HID.

Current setup using 55 w Halogen on low and 35 Watt high beam, Will try soon the bulb posted by nitin on high beam as it seems worth to take risk rather than wasting again big amount on HID.

I dont agree with you that "the reflector doesnt support the hid" . if you align the headlight on the r15 you will never have any issues.Have you ever tried to do it ?

                Can you explain ?
Projector which come with hids are different than the normal projectors which come with bulb .You cant just take a projector remove the hid from it and sell it .

I had a few doubts here . Can you explain ? does putting a projector increase the Lumen of an hid ?

how much i know you had got a hid from me and you got it on Jun 30, 2011
is this the same which has gone kaput ?? if yes why have you not sent it to me for replacement ?? or did you get a hid from Nana pet ??

55w on the low beam and the 35w on the high watch out on low revs . if you go uphill on a night ride your battery will be dead.

Philips hid kits were available earlier that too in pairs which costed Rs.9000/-
Nowadays duplicate/fake stuff is available in market for cheaper cost, finding original is very difficult.
Use this to find authorized Phillips dealer.
Philips Lighting India - Where To Buy - Philips

You will need two people as there are two hids in that kit or one R15 to use both hids

Osram and bosch HID is not available.

                      Found this about osram http://www.osramindia.com/osram_in/C...hts/index.html

Shoeb you from hybd na ? can you please check the price of Philips HID model no. 858154K & its specification & whether it is available in 55watt or 35 watt .

There is no philips dealer here.

I readed in some thread on xbhp before some month that philips put a serial no. on each hid & it can be verified on their web .

Bro i just shared my experiences and after adjusting the headlights every 15 days also i dint got the desired output, and in 55 w as low and 35 w high i am getting better illumination and i can see better in highways and ghats too now.

                          @ navneesh -
I agree regarding battery dead, but its a fact that the HID supplied by you were not giving me the desired output at all and yes man the HID bulb went kaput. Frankly i can say my experience was futile rather than being good. I would not have mind before or even now if i have to put a big battery man but the hid was not throwing enough illumination so i have posted all my experiences and bro i never used nanapeth ones, as you know i dont like the Chinese ones which extract out the battery and thats why i had ordered it from you. Frankly if my stock reflectors are not working with HID i will like to give a try with projectors as i have seen how beautiful the 220 headlights perform with projectors which is missing in R15.

So this is something i would like to go anyday in future if i want to go for HID.

EDIT : i am not here to justify you are right or i am right, Its just i had burnt my fingers and posting the bad experience here. If you think i am wrong than i wont mind, niether will i mind if you blame my headlight setup or anything you feel.

                              Hi Guys,

I have recently purchased HID kit with projector lens with slim ballast and wiring harness with relay key.
I want to know first how can i install it, as it's 12V DC and my bike obvious wont allow that..
Can anyone help me out for installation..?
                              I have pulsar 150, 2006 version

                              Thanx in advance..
